Habesha Cement S.C would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Senior HR Officer

Purpose of the Job:

Enable integrated talent management practice through efficient execution of HR operations of the major talent management programs such as Recruitment and on boarding, Performance Management, Compensation Administration, Employee Data Administration and others.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Talent COE to develop service level and customer interaction standards for all HR operational services.
  • Monitor the provision of consistent HR operational services to the business and ensure effective and efficient service delivery enabled by appropriate technologies. 
  • Lead the efficient supply of competent employees to the Company through the recruitment function.
  • Lead the timely and efficient recruitment and onboarding of the right people to the right positions in line with the company’s workforce needs and plans.
  • Administer the implementation of reward program as per the Company’s policy and procedure.
  • Lead and follow up the execution of result-oriented performance management system.
  • Lead and manage the HR Operations team to provide a proactive, responsive and expert service across the Company.
  • Oversee adherence of code of conduct across the Company and take corrective measures when required.
  • Oversee the maintenance of personnel record keeping procedures supervise the processing of personnel transactions and the appropriate procedures for confidential personnel records.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution process of disciplinary cases identified and handled at the centre.
  • Implement employee relations programmes.
  • Monitor HR trends in the Company and identify initiatives to mitigate risk areas.
  • Manage regulatory compliance and reporting processes and activities relating to HR programs.
  • Promote the usage of self service by redirecting employees to self-service providing options.
  • Focus on consistent service delivery and employee experience through the usage of a common set of tools.
  • Escalate most complex queries and non-standard service requests to COEs in a timely manner.
  • Complete administrative tasks and inquiries and reduce COEs involvements.
  • Implement key process changes in partnership with COEs.
  • Manage routine HR vendor relationships and monitor and control operational interaction with vendors.
  • Identify open position and communicate position requirements and plan.
  • Review selection criteria and posting content for relevant vacant positions.
  • Conduct interviews and select candidates.

Qualification and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in management, Human Resources Management, or related fields with Four (4) years of demonstrated experience of which three (3) years in a Senior HR Officer

Workplace: Addis Ababa

Position 2: Senior Attorny

Purpose of the Job:

To protect the Company from emerging legal issues by handling litigations, providing legal advices to Functions and Departments, represent the company at courts and arbitration tribunal, initiating responses to court orders, drafting and reviewing contract and following up criminal cases.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on legal issues to Functions and Departments.
  • Represent the Company before courts of law, judicial tribunals, and other similar organs in relation to any litigation cases.
  • Follow-up the proper institution and presentation of legal suits and/or statements of defence in all cases including judgment execution process and appeals.
  • Prepare or revise drafted local and international contracts, pledges, guarantees, agreements and other legal documents.
  • Prepare statement of claim, defence, pleadings, appeal, affidavit, memorandum, application, notices and other legal instruments.
  • Attend court cases, conduct litigation, and report progresses on each adjournment.
  • Follow up crime cases handled by the police, prosecutor, court, or other similar crime investigation offices or government organs.
  • Conduct researches on legal problems or issues related to the Company.
  • Conduct training to create awareness on different legal issues and the consequences of criminal acts.
  • Ensure that all the necessary legal documents or files are available and neatly and systematically kept in the Department.

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in law, Legislation, Business Law with Five (5+) years of direct related experience.
