Moti Engineering PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Legal higher expert

Job Purpose:

Legal higher expert/specialist’s role is to advice and counsel both employer and workers on a variety of employment-related issues, including, training, performance evaluation, and employee rights and obligations. In order to maintain a positive working environment, she/he could also be in charge of settling office disputes and contributing to the creation of policies and procedures. Legal higher expert work to promote healthy working relationships between employers and staff while making sure that everyone is abiding by the law.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help the Legal services’, Court’s Documentary & eye witness preparation and facilitate court attendants;
  • Facilitate other similar works and order of Office head;
  • Advise & recommend on Policy & procedures improvement.
  • Attend & work to handle Labor Relation viz. – – Group relation (Between various groups of workmen, supervisors, technical persons etc.), -Between Employer – employee relation i.e. (Between Mgt & employees)
  • Advise & helps on incidents of major offenses’ handling, investigation & reports of discipline Committee;
  • Prepare charges against…, present & attend court litigation; guide & lead evidences organization doc/ eye witness 
  • Prepare allegation, Represent & Attend level of courts, at different Regional Govts & at city Administrations (AA. & D/dawa).
  • Handle Issues & mediate / negotiate tax conflicts at Regional Govt & City Administrations.
  • Will take part & Participate on Employee Induction & trainings;
  • Communicate Guarantors on failure of employee; prepare notice & charges;
  • Attend /represent Moti on any dispute resolution,
  • Attend /lead company’s collective bargaining at AA & regional offices agreements;
  • Handle & work to resolve unfair labor practices
  • Help on immediate actions of criminal acts handlings;
  • Assist on Insurance claims & Insurers failures on property, Health and life coverages;

Representation and Legal cases

  • Handles employee relation issues;
  • Assists Legal Advisor and the HRM on court cases;
  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • knowledge of HR principles, office procedures and practices;
  • knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Law and other applicable laws;

  • Excellent skill / fluency in writing and spoken language in English and Amharic is mandatory.
  • Proposals making & presentation skills are mandatory,
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, attention to detail, punctuality are required;
  • Principled personality, and able to complete without close supervision.
  • Confidentiality, honesty, quality of work are from very important skills.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at once; ability to maintain good working relationship.
  • Skill how to organize & facilitate team function and to create well oriented team environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in law and
  • 3 & above years’ experiences in HR Mgt., out of which 2 years must be on similar Supervisory position;
  • Work Experiences from well recognized and reputable Business Companies, are advantageous.

Position 2: Performance & disciplinary Management expert

Job Purpose

The Performance & disciplinary Mgt expert will contribute to giving strategic insights, developing norms or standards, offering analysis, improving information management systems, and providing strategic guidance or suggestions on discipline management-related issues. The Performance & disciplinary Mgt expert will also contribute to the development of training materials on specific Human Resource Management and Disciplinary issues, as well as provide training to employees such as ethics officers, labor relations officers, and HR officers to support the implementation of ethics, integrity, and discipline management systems.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • New staffs Orientation, Induction, follow-ups; short trainings preparation & implementation;
  • Performance Mgt. (trial, permanent Mgt & non mgt),
  • Employee growing /developing/ study proposals preparation & presentation,
  • Development/upgrading PE criterions in association with DPT owners,
  • Study & recommendation on procedures, guideline developments,
  • Study & initiation, on policy, rules, and other HRM related amendment proposals;
  • Administration of periodic P/appraisal of individual staffs, ensure healthy assessment, enforce Correction of deviations,
  • Propose & lead the execution (after approval) of staffs Motivation & rewards Mgt. schemes;
  • Propose Level of Managerial staff’s short-term and Long-term trainings; and recreations;
  • Policy & procedural matters Advancement-study & recommendation.
  • Admin of Disciplinary matters study, Findings report, Corrective Measures & grievance procedure handling Cases investigation, decision proposal as teamwork.

Position 3: Education, publication & communication expert

Job Purpose:

An education, publication, and communication expert’s support include assisting with publishing activities and managing distribution processes as needed. Before printing, education, publication, and communication expert’s approves the materials’ quality by double-checking the correctness of the content, revising the language, and ensuring that the style adheres to industry standards and best practices. He/she might also handle the company’s social media pages, publishing publication updates and catchy captions to attract viewers. An expert in education, publication, and communication must be exceptionally organized and communicative, especially when managing press releases, media relations, and creating sales reports.
