Program Description
Scaling Ethiopia’s Regenerative Export with Out Growers (SERE) project is a three-year project aimed at catalyzing Ethiopia’s export sector growth by developing efficient, inclusive, and regenerative market systems with Ethiopian small-scale farmers. Through sustainable, smallholder-sourced high-value exports, Ethiopian small-scale farmers would gain access to greater income-generating opportunities and attractive, premium export markets, contributing to more resilient and better farming livelihoods, particularly for women and youth. We envision a climate-resilient and inclusive horticulture export sector that strengthens small-scale farmer-exporter partnerships, allows small-scale farmers to produce high-value export crops using climate-smart irrigation technology, and responds to end-market consumer demand for regenerative grown products.
Position Description:
The Logistics Assistant/Driver is accountable to carefully drive TNS’s cars while adhering to all driving regulations. S/he will support NORAD project procurement and supplies in compliance with TNS systems. The logistics Assistant is in charge of coordinating and transporting TNS (NORAD project) resources such as people, materials, documents, equipment etc. He or she is in charge of driving and safeguarding TNS vehicles. He or she will assist NORAD project finance /logistic as directed by the Addis Ababa finance/logistic section. Assess the technical condition of vehicles for rehabilitation and propose the required cost for management decision. Advice in the selection and management of workshops and suppliers for events and vehicles. S/he will report to the PM.
Job Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
Carefully drive TNS’s cars while adhering to all driving regulations.
The logistic assistant will support NORAD project procurement and supplies in compliance with TNS systems.
The logistic assistant is in charge of coordinating and transporting TNS (NORAD project) resources such as people, materials, documents, equipment etc. He or she is in charge of driving and safeguarding TNS vehicles.
He or she will assist NORAD project finance /logistic as directed by the Addis Ababa finance/logistic section.
He or she will assist the field staff and the PM in distributing reports to stakeholder offices.
Check the office’s daily/weekly mission/duties schedule, prepare the needs, and report on any observed changes on vehicles.
Follow-up the maintenance, insurance and road license of the TNS Ethiopia vehicle fleet.
Complete time sheet
The position is based in Butajira TNS –Office.
To carry out any other duties assigned
Mechanical duties
Assess the technical condition of vehicles for rehabilitation and propose the required cost for management decision
Advice in the selection and management of workshops and suppliers for events and vehicles
Advice the logistics officer in the development of annual review systems for purchase standard specification, selection and contractual management
Conduct pre and post services as well as pre and post Insurance cover maintenance and repair works and certify vouchers, if any, for payments
Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
Above grade 10 /Certificate/Diploma/degree in Auto Mechanics, in Supplies management/ Business Management/Marketing Management, Accounting, or related fields of study
Renewed grade three driving licenses
At least three years’ relevant experience in after graduation
Average computer skill in all MS Windows
Computer skills (emails, scanning, word processing and accounting)
High level of organization and efficiency
Clear and concise communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once for different individuals in the office
Results focused and aware of the different challenges faced by individuals
Culturally aware and able to speak Amharic, English and one of the regional language (a plus)
Preferred skill – computer literacy and finance skill

TechnoServe Ethiopia is recruiting for an enthusiastic and organized results-oriented professional to support the Chief of Party with the implementation and administration of a large-scale five-year program in Yirga cheffe. The role
In a nutshell, as the Senior Program Analyst you will contribute to the Regrow Yirga program’s deep impact through support to project leadership and implementation teams to achieve programmatic excellence, ensure sound financial management, and maintain compliance with governmental, organizational, and donor rules and regulations. You will work closely with COP in Addis Ababa to oversee project budget functions and provide analytical, administrative and programmatic support to field teams, vendors, and sub awardees and other partners. You will provide project backstopping to leadership and work with a range of TechnoServe teams to ensure high-quality results.
The Project
The project will help farmers boost productivity and expand trade. Specifically, the Regrow Yirga program seeks to serve 42,000+ farmers, 45+ processing businesses, and coffee industry service providers. The project will launch an innovative Farmer Stumping Fund which will facilitate direct incentive (tools or cash) transfers to farmers to encourage tree rejuvenation which has the potential to be scaled up to over 1 million coffee farmers nation-wide.
This USD 15 million project finds its roots in TechnoServe’s 10+ years of experience working with the coffee farmers in Ethiopia. Our work was recently honored as the “Origin Charity of the Year” by the National Coffee Association – the leading trade organization for the coffee industry in the United States.

Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate –
- Has a strong, demonstrated experience in financial and operational management with at least 7 years of relevant experience (or a master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience). Management consultant experience at top firm or international experience a plus
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
- Deep knowledge of best practices in financial, administrative, and operational management; project management experience and/or certification highly desirable
- Has excellent written and verbal English skills and a strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for financial management and donor reporting
