Position 1: Networking and Partnership Promotion Officer
Code: PNPP II
Qualification
Minimum first degree in Journalism, communication, project management, law, development studies, human rights other social science field
Minimum 3 years, experience for BA and 2 years for MA
Excellent interpersonal skillsExperience in forging partnerships and grant applications
Summary of major duties
Identify current and potential areas of collaboration and cooperation with stakeholders and suggest possible actions to consolidate partnerships;
Support the project management in stakeholder mapping;
Keep record of partnership documents and contacts of stakeholders
Support the IT specialist in ensuring the Center’s web infrastructures promote networking and partnership;
Undertake tasks to ensure sustainability of CHR’s project activities;
Develop proposals and explore funding modalities for the Center’s projects.
Salary (Gross):33,723.75 (plus employment benefits)
Position 2: Legal Officer (For Hawassa Project Area)
Code: PLTO III
Qualification
First degree in law;
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in legal practice
Experience in legal/court practice;
Experience in project management and community engagement is a plus;
Good interpersonal communication;
Proficiency in Afaan Oromoo is required
Summary of major duties
Provide legal aid services including preparation of pleadings and other legal document, provision of advice and referral services to target beneficiaries of the project;
Assist the Regional/ Project Area Manager in following client’s cases and regularly communicate with justice sector actors;
Assist the Regional/ Project Area Manager in organization of community rights trainings;
Identify and contact community leaders and others for community rights promotion, trainings and dialogue;
Prepare a compendium of cases and legal instruments including federal supreme court cassation bench decisions regarding the focus on the project;
Assist the Regional/ Project Area Manager in the preparation of plans and report;
Perform other duties as may be assigned
Salary (Gross): 12,075.00
Position 3: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Code: PME II
Qualification
• Minimum first degree in economics, business management/administration, project management, law, development studies, human rights or other relevant social sciences field ;
MA in relevant field is an advantage;
Knowledge and understanding of project monitoring and evaluation and current trends;
Experience on human rights projects
Experience working in CSOs
Employment experience of 3years BA, and 2 year for MA;
Summary of major duties
• Develop and strengthen monitoring and evaluation procedures in light of RBM;
Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
Recommend further improvement of the M&E Tools;
Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
Provide feedback to the Project Coordinators on project strategies and activities;
Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks;
Report monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual progress on all project activities;
Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system ;
Participate in project reviews and planning workshops and assist the preparation of reports;
Assist in coordinating across the sub components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E;
Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use;
Design and manage gender-disaggregated beneficiary monitoring and database systems;
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Position 4: Sub Project I & II Coordinator
Code: PPC I
Qualification
Minimum Bachelor’s in Law or related social science fields
Master’s in human rights other related fields;
At least 5 years of relevant experience for MA/LLM and 8 years’ experience for BA/LLB degree holders;
Multidisciplinary educational background is a plus;
Experience of working in projects in academic setting and with similar objectives will be an added advantage;
Experience in report writing;
Excellent command of English and Amharic.
Summary of major duties
Coordinate activities falling under the Multidisciplinary Human Rights Education and Training & Research, Policy and Practical Collaboration and Diffusion sub-projects;
Coordinate the design and development of curriculum, textbook, and manuals and carry out related activities;
Plan and coordinate academic training and education activities of the Sub-Project;
Coordinate the organization of policy dialogue forums on strategic themes, facilitate research activities; collection and organization of research and information on human rights; organization of experience sharing workshops; hosting international researchers and students;
Prepare quarterly, biannual and annual plans in collaboration with Sub-Projects and other project staff assigned;
Prepare monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual reports regarding the Sub-Projects and submit them to Lead Coordinator;
Ensure that planned activities are carried out in accordance with plan and within the agreed time frame;
Oversee and supervise the quality of trainings, workshops, policy dialogues, research activities, academic conference and other activities provided under the Sub-Projects;
Supervise project employee within the Sub-Projects;
Promote the values of CHR including respect for human rights, gender equality, tolerance, transparency, and constructive engagement with all partners and stakeholders;
Perform other duties as may be required.
Salary (Gross): 43,125.00(plus employment benefits)
Position 5: Training Courses Coordination Officer
Code: PTC-II
Qualification
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in law or other relevant social sciences or Master’s in Human Rights or other relevant fields;
2 years relevant experience for MA or 4 MA.
Experience with higher educational institution or research institution will be an advantage.
Good interpersonal , networking and communication skills
Summary of major duties
Facilitate the development and launching of new post-graduate level training;
Facilitate and coordinate the production of training materials for
locally relevant and problem oriented multidisciplinary human rights graduate level;
Design and organised specialized training courses on human rights issues identified in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Assist in the facilitation of training under the sub-project;
Edit and update existing training materials based on current developments;
Produce narrative and financial reports on tasks assigned;
Support in the monitoring and evaluation of the impact of the project activities;
Perform other duties as may be required.
Salary (Gross): 29,756.25 (plus employment benefits)
