Position: Senior Accountant
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience: 3–4 years in an accounting/finance role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts
- Oversee daily financial transactions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting and compliance with local, regional, and international regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree, ERP systems)
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
- Knowledge of auditing standards and compliance procedures
- Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and procurement processes
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in cross-functional collaboration
- Location: Addis Ababa
- Employment Type: Permanent
