Position 1: TECH HUB Operations Manager
The Tech Hub Operations Manager’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing day-to-day hub operations
- Optimizing operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards
- Identifying ways to improve learner experiences
- Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels
- Overseeing the operations team and assigning tasks
- Liaising with facility management vendors, including cleaning, catering and security services
- Interacting with learners and suppliers, answering questions, and resolving issues
- Tracking and reporting on operational performance
- Maintaining policy and procedure documents
Job Requirements
Role Requirements:
- A minimum of four years of professional experience with project management, office management & coordination, administrative support, youth engagement, and community service
- A bachelor’s degree in any field with excellent academic record
- Fluency in English and Amharic (verbal and written); knowledge of other local languages a plus
- Relationship-driven: highly skilled communicator with a strong customer service focus and desire to do what’s best for our customers at all times
- Attention to detail: to ensure you deliver the best customer experience and promptly follow up on all information needed
- Excellent communication and presentation skills: you can effectively articulate and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing
- Interpersonal skills: you have a collaborative mindset and can work well with others
- Humility and openness to feedback: you are always looking to learn and have an insatiable curiosity and hunger to grow
- Innovativeness and creativity: you have a tendency to use your imagination to create or introduce something new or different in any situation
Position 2: Recruitment & Activation Manager
The Recruitment & Activation Manager’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Talent recruitment: leveraging market specific approaches and strategies to attract top talent and drive conversion of “started applications” to “enrolled students” in our training programs; engaging applicants that have started (but not completed) applications via events, phone, text, emails, and other contact points in order to “sell” them on the integrity, value, and benefits of our programs
- Supply partnerships: engaging in lead generation activities by managing and growing relationships with key stakeholders and institutions to attract and/or source more learners into our programs
- Offline marketing: organizing and/or attending outreach events (college and career fairs, forums, industry visits) to promote ALX programs; running info sessions for interested learners to drive new applications to completion, and to increase the rate of accepted students that attend on the first day and persist through the program
- Metrics & Reporting: determining annual enrollment targets for each program, developing metrics to track and measure success of recruitment efforts, implementing consistent data collection and reporting practices, and presenting findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
