Aha Psychosocial Services (Aha), established in 2014 is a Plc, working with the vision of   seeing a positive human functioning in Ethiopia. It strives to be center of excellence in psychological services in offering counseling, coaching and consultation, training, research and consultancy services to individuals, couples/partners, families and organizations in overcoming life’s challenges and moving toward positive change.  It is guided by core values of   Positivity, Acceptance, Honesty, Helping, and Confidentiality.

Aha Psychological Services would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Training Officer

Job summary:

 The Training Officer works closely with the Program Coordinator/PC/ and Training Coordinator of AHA. The incumbent is responsible to diversify psychological trainings of different level and reaching out more trainees at school, organization or companies and the public. The Training Officer shall also be engage in training material development; marketing and promoting the trainings; deploy resource persons; and look for partnership.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop training portfolio in market oriented psycho-social and academic areas
  • Develop syllabuses, curriculums and training materials
  • Promote and coordinator the trainings at Aha facilities or other settings  

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

BA or MA Degree from recognized university in counseling, clinical, social, developmental psychology or social work.

Work Experience:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in organizing and trainings

Essential abilities and skills required:

  • Coordination and facilitation skills
  • Good communication and human relation skills
  • Creativity and marketing skills

Position 2: Business Development Coordinator/BDC

Organization relationship:

The BDC reports directly to the Manager of Aha

Job summary: The Business Development Coordinator works closely with company manager to meet the goals and objectives of the company and ensure the profitability. The BDC is responsible in designing, promoting and implementing the business venture of Aha. The BDC works closely with Aha manager, director, and program coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research innovative and business oriented services that can be operationalized with in the vision, mission and values of Aha.
  • Develop business models, business operations and intervention areas taking psychological services as social enterprise.
  • Promote programs and services of Aha Psychological Services
  • Design creative and effective marketing strategies, identify and reach potential clients and canvass business opportunities; increase and diversify the business operations of the company.
  • Ensure that all Aha business ventures are market oriented and follow well defined business model.
  • Develop proposals, secure grant or project awards in line with Aha program areas and professional competency.
  • Actively cooperating, lobby and soliciting business ventures with international and local organizations.
  • Design innovative ways to build image, promote the reputation and successful performance of Aha as psychological service giving company;
  • Organizing PR campaigns, events, produce PR materials;
  • Conduct planned and regular media engagement activities to promote Aha Psychological services
  • Network and facilitate positive interface with existing and prospective clients, partners, government supervisory bodies, NGOs etc.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:  

MA Degree from recognized University in business administration,  marketing or  project management .

Work Experience:

Work Experience 5 years, out of which 3 years’ experience directly related to marketing or sales.

Position 3: Program Coordinator

Job summary:

The Program Coordinator/PC/ works closely with company manager to meet the goals and objectives of the company. The PC oversees all office work that includes counseling, research, training and publicity. In addition to the programmatic activities, the PC supervises the financial, legal and operational affairs of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of projects  in planning, executing , monitoring and minuting meetings both virtual and physical
  • Field level monitoring and technical  support to stakeholders
  • Support the engagement of  project partners and stakeholders  in implementing activities,
  • Administrative support project partners and stakeholders
  • Ensuring constructive collaboration and communication with  beneficiaries and stakeholders
  • Monitoring timelines and progress of collaboration.
  • Contributions to research and innovation activities in setting up digital surveys and manage data collection,  review of literature, compilation and cleaning of data for further analysis and write-up of core findings
  • Conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions (in collaboration with senior staff) and support the synthesis of key findings
  • Contribute to the write-up and documentation of project results
  • Ad hoc assignments are part of our daily work.
  • Employment Condition: The position is a fixed term position for one year based on the performance, with the possibility of extending the contract based on available budget.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of MA degree from recognized university in counseling, clinical, social, developmental psychology, social work. or other related social sciences
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in providing and leading psychological services, research and trainings in government, private or humanitarian organizations.
  • Strong computer and statistical skills, including digital survey tools such ODK, KOBO, SPSS, etc., and an aptitude for learning and using new digital tools and databases
  • Experience with mental health and psychosocial support projects in conflict and drought affected regions of the country is an advantage

Personal Profile:

  • An independent and proactive approach to tasks
  • Excellent in communication and coordination skills
  • Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team-player
  • Excellent in writing skills and ability to communicate precisely in writing
  • Experience in working with people from different cultural backgrounds, enterprises and working with youth and adults
