Position 1: Junior Researcher: Bioinformatics Data Analyst
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining custom analysis pipelines and scripts.
- Data processing, alignment, and variant calling
- Statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Interpretation of genetic variations and providing insights.
- Collaboration with wet-lab scientists for experimental design
- Perform data analysis and interpretation of complex datasets
- Analyze and interpret biological data from Next Generation Sequencing in different sequencing platforms.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Competences:
- BSc degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL or other relevant languages
- Interested to work on Linux OS with no GUI at all
- Some experience with data analysis and visualization tools

Position 2: Junior Researcher: Bioinformatics
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sample preparation and DNA/RNA extraction.
- PCR and NGS Library preparation, and quality control.
- Operating and maintaining NGS platforms (e.g., Nextseq, miseq).
- Data quality assessment and basic troubleshooting.
- Adhering to laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.
- Insilco-PCR and related activities using GUI tools
- Assisting in bioinformatics data analysis
Qualifications and Competences:
- BSc degree in Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science/Technology.
- Basic understanding in utilizing graphical user interface (GUI) bioinformatics tools
- Experience in navigating and querying biological databases.
- Proficient in conducting experiments within molecular laboratories
- Basic understanding in biological data visualizations and interpretation
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft office packages)

Position 3: Junior Researcher: Genomics
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Nucleic acid purification and library preparation for sequencing
- Prepare reports of lab experiment results and present timely and regularly
- Manage and monitor appropriate storage of samples, libraries and reagents
- Keep inventory of reagents
- Prepare list of reagents for procurement based on usage
- Perform activities related with laboratory quality improvement
- Train students and other staff who would use sequencing facilities
- Take on additional assignments that may be assigned by the project PI.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Competences:
- B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology, Biology or Medical laboratory Science/Technology
- Work experience is not required
- Hands-on lab experience in sequencing lab setting is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent in English Languages (speaking, writing, reading and listening)
- Advanced skill of computer science
- Ability to work with others/team work, including international collaborators

Position 4: Junior Researcher: Laboratory Logistics and Quality Management
Key Duties and responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for laboratory management and quality assurance.
2. Monitor the lab quality practices and store operations to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
3. Prepare laboratory SOPs, update the existing ones and follow up its proper implementation
4. Update, revise, and maintain the Laboratory’s Quality Assurance Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and other quality documents in the laboratory
5. Supervise continuous recording of lab log book of each lab activity
6. Manage all aspects of the laboratory store, including inventory management, procurement, and storage of laboratory supplies.
7. Implement and maintain efficient systems for tracking inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and minimizing waste.
8. Oversee the logistics process, including receiving and distributing laboratory supplies to various teams within the department and field teams.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable pricing terms and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
10. Ensure the smooth running of the laboratory store while maintaining strict adherence to quality assurance protocols.
11. Procurement order processing and follow up the import of laboratory supplies and equipment with the procurement team.
12. Ensure the laboratory supplies and equipment quantities are as per the order list when stock in and report to the concerned project coordinator when there is a deviation between actual quantity and order list
13. Follow up lab equipment regular calibration status, make ready equipment’s and communicate for calibration, document the calibration results and ensure the calibration correction factor implementing.

Required qualifications and work experience
Education: A Bachler Degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology
Work experience:
- Zero year work experience
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory management practices, quality assurance protocols, and inventory control procedures will have an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer software applications relevant to inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Other Competencies:
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
- Fluency in English communication (spoken & written)
- Willingness to be multi-tasked in logistics and inventory management and lab quality management

Position 5: Assistant Researcher: Bioinformatics
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct various molecular biology experiments, such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing library preparation.
- Assist in the development and optimization of experimental protocols.
- Insilco-PCR and related activities using GUI tools
- Ensure data integrity and maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures.
- Collaborate with the bioinformatics team to process and analyze experimental data generated in the laboratory.
- Contribute to data quality control, data preprocessing, and data analysis.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of bioinformatics pipelines.
- Work closely with the research team to interpret biological insights from the data.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Competences:
- Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology
- At least two years’ experience as a researcher
- Strong laboratory skills, including experience with common molecular biology techniques (PCR and NGS Library preparation, and quality control).
- Understanding of bioinformatics and the ability to work with sequencing data.
- Experience in programming languages, such as Python or R, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work and a strong desire to learn.
