We have been active for over 15 years as a joint venture between Alema Farms Plc and De Heus Animal Nutrition from The Netherlands. We produce high quality animal feed for poultry, dairy, beef etc. Our product ensures a high productivity and profitability for farmers.
Alema Koudijs Feed PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: – Accountant
Job description:
- Check payment recording in Finance ERP CDN coding
- Petty cash Coding & recording in Finance ERP CDN
- Withholding & VAT payments- Monthly
- Manual Payroll preparation -Monthly
- Monthly Loading & unloading payment preparation
- Advance checking of purchases (GRN date)-Daily
- Sales deposit to bank & on hand recording in bank statements
- Aging Receivable / Customer Ledger follow up-Weekly every week
- Raw material Issue checking against the machine consumption print out & recording with Finance ERP CDN -Daily
- Raw Material including premix reconciliation with store-Weekly every Monday
- Physical Inventory of raw materials together with the store –At the end of the Month
- Finished Product receiving voucher record in Finance ERP CDN
- Finished Product reconciliations against Dispatch-Weekly
- Physical Inventory of Feeds together with dispatch- At the end of the Month
- Reconciliation of Bank Statements- Weekly.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- BA in Accounting.
- Work Experience: more than 2 Years in a related field.
- Speaking and writing proper English and Amharic. Oromiffa is Plus
- Proper computer skills: Able to work with accounting software ERP, Microsoft Outlook: Word, Excel
- Able and work extra hours when ever required.

Position 2: Senior Accountant
Job description:
- Collect, check and post properly all payment related documents (Payment Requests, Invoices, Agreements, etc.) on a daily basis & Posting on the appropriate accounting system in the ERP CDN.
- Verify all cash sales against cash deposited by customers on daily basis in all Banks.
- Verify all payments are made against goods/services purchased in the system (ERP, CDN) daily basis in all Banks.
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable in the ERP CDN on monthly basis.
- Manage/Supervise/mentor junior accountants and accountants
- Prepare and Reconcile with General Ledger Monthly Income Tax and Pension Contribution details to be declared to Ministry of Revenue (MoR) based on the payroll data & Cost Sharing on a monthly basis within 15 days after the end of each month in G.C
- Prepare payroll, commission, Incentive, Termination & Related Payments.
- Prepare and Reconcile with General Ledger of ERP Monthly Input Value Added Tax (VAT) – (VAT Receivables) details to be declared to MoR on a monthly basis within 15 days after the end of each month in G.C.
- Prepare Amortization of Prepaid Expense for (Rent, insurance and others) on a Monthly Basis to determine Expenses Amounts and Remaining Prepayment Balances on a Monthly Basis. Based on the schedule.
- Prepare Depreciation for Tangible fixed assets and Intangible Fixed Assets on a Monthly Basis to determine Expenses amounts and book Value Balances on a Monthly Basis. Based on the schedule.
- Prepare Accrual on Monthly basis.
- Follow up & manage all contract payments on a daily basis.
- Follow up completeness of all payment related documents before approval.
- Follow up Advance payments on a daily basis and report their statuses on a Weekly Basis.
- Participate in all Financial Report preparation.

Position 3: – Farm Advisor
Job description:
- Responsible for generating sales to farmers and distributors
- Increasing sales by identifying farmers and convincing them of the benefit of our animal feed products
- Creating sales through a local distributor or directly from our factory in Debre Zeit.
- Advising farmers on their feed and farm management
- Training groups of farmers in how to increase their productivity and profitability through quality feed and proper farm management.
- Forwarding orders to Alema Koudijs feed plc. Head office in Debre Zeit and follow up delivery
- Look for new market outlets

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1year experience in a related field of job.
- BSC in Veterinary medicine. (DVM)
- Speaking and writing proper English and other additional local languages in the working area is preferable.
- Proper computer skills: Able to work with Microsoft Outlook: Word, Excel
- The farm advisor should have a pro-active attitude, polite and persuasive
- Able and work extra hours when ever required.

Position 4: Quality Officer
Job description:
- Taking, labelling, and delivering samples for testing in laboratory.
- Inspection of incoming raw materials, conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials by conforming specifications.
- Inspection of finished products; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisors and approves in-process production by confirming specifications.
- Conduct regular testing of raw materials and finished products by using NIR machine and reporting the results for the concerned persons.
- Conduct production process tests according to annual production process test plan.
- Making proper action in case of any non-conformities.
- Setting quality requirements for all raw materials and finished products.
- Developing an inspection plan for the delivery of all materials and finished products.
- Performing and documenting tests according to the inspection plan.
- Evaluating of the testing and inspection plan.
- Preparing and updating quality manual documents (procedures, work instructions, and forms).
- Proper handling of customer complaints with departments.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Animal Science and in Chemistry, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), and related fields Experience.
- Good decision making and good communication skill.
- A candidate who has a knowledge of NIR machine and Laboratory equipment is more advantageous.
- A candidate who has ISO training certificate is more advantageous.
- Proper computer skills: Able to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- A candidate who is voluntary to work in different shifts.
- Speaking and writing proper English and Amharic. Oromiffa is Plus
- Able and work extra hours whenever required.
