Amhara Bank SC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Senior Credit Analyst

Place of Work: Addis Ababa Districts

Employment Type: Full-Time

Essential Functionality:

Purpose of the Job: To realize effective credit decision making by producing accurate credit analysis report and ensuring sound customer credit risk grading.

Generic Functions:

  • Take up the roles of the Division Manager in his/her absence;
  • Actively participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, plan /budget of the division;
  • Mentor and enable staffs below his /grades towards achieving their effective performance;
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public;
  • Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices;
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement;
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set;

Specific Functions:        

  • Prepare a comprehensive credit appraisal report independently for credit committee deliberation
  • Undertakes periodic customer credit risk rating for risk based lending
  • Determine the creditworthiness and risk profile of an individual or business by analyzing their financial data and deciding whether or not to extend them credit;
  • Evaluate customers’ credit data and financial statements in order to determine the degree of risk involved in lending money to them;
  • Communicate with the concerned bodies about the degree of risk in lending money to customers;
  • Confer with credit associations and references to exchange credit information on customers;
  • Undertake proper business and risk analysis of customers who have lodged guarantee requests to the bank;

Job Requirement:

Qualification: BA in Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Economics, and related fields.

Work Experience: 7 years of Relevant Banking experience of which 2 years as Credit Analyst position.

Position 2: Administrative Assistant – I

Place of Work: Addis Ababa Districts, Addis Ababa Regional Office

Employment Type: Full-Time

Essential Functionality:

Purpose of the Job: To provide high-level administrative support and assistance to ensure efficient and effective operation.

Essential Functions:

  • Periodic monitoring of office supplies and control of shortages;
  • Solve office-related problems (including those under the office) and respond to questions or issues;
  • Perform office tasks, such as filing, preparing reports and documents for presentations, arranging meetings, and requesting/ordering adequate supplies;
  • Providing real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts;
  • Facilitate travel arrangements, such as flights, cars, and hotel and restaurant reservations;

Job Requirement:

Qualification BA/Diploma in Administrative Office Management/ Secretarial Science and Office Management or any other related fields.

Work Experience: 1/3 years of relevant experience preferably in the Banking industry.

Position 3: Branch Manager G – I

Place of Work: Yirgachefe

Employment Type: Full-Time

Essential Functionality:

Purpose of the Job: To achieve sustainable growth and profitability of the Bank through cross selling the Bank’s products & services; acquiring & retaining customers, improving customer services and building strong customer relationships to maximize resources mobilization efforts; managing overall retail banking operations at the assigned branch.

Generic Functions:

  • Prepare /review work plans / budgets  of the branch and monitor its execution;
  • Embody  the bank’s good culture & corporate image ;
  • Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct, ascertain that subordinates abide by same and manage disciplinary concerns;
  • Provide services as per the service level agreement , follow- up & monitor subordinates to do the same ;
  • Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set;
  • Mentor and coach  subordinates towards effective career development;

Specific Functions:

  • Plan and lead the enhancement of the resource mobilization activity of the branch by organizing
  • and effectively coordinating the branch workforce;
  • Aggressively engage in marketing and promotional activities by communicating with customers about the products and services available in the bank;
  • Ensure the expansion and growth of the customer base and create strategies to grow business opportunities and improve the profitability of the branch;
  • Check whether the branch’s books of accounts are in balance; review income and expenses
  • summary accounts of the branch and apply strict follow-up on controllable expenses;
  • Ensure that transactions are authorized immediately and end-of-business cycle processes are done on a timely basis;

Job Requirement:

Qualification: BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, and any other related fields.

Work Experience:  7 (Seven) years of relevant experience in the Banking Industry of which 1 year as Assistant Branch Manager/CSM or Relationship Manager.

                                OR

7 (Seven) years of relevant Banking experience of which at least Two (2) years as a Senior Officer in Banking Operation Positions.

Position 4: Security Guard – I (Male)

Place of Work: Arbaya, Maserodenb (Meakelay Armachiho), Battu, Shashemene

Employment Type: Full-Time

Essential Functionality:

Purpose of the Job: support the customer service process of the bank by keeping the work places Safe, Secured and makes it attractive for staffs and customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Patrolling and securing the area and ensuring the protection of properties and facilities
  • Protecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
  • Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
  • Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirement:

Qualification: Grade 10th /12th Complete

 Work Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience in Military or Police service.

   Age: Between 25 – 50

Position 5: Security Guard – I (Female)

Place of Work: Maserodenb (Meakelay Armachiho), Arbaya

Employment Type: Full-Time

Essential Functionality:

Position 6: Cleaner & Messenger

Place of Work: Arbaya, Maserodenb (Meakelay Armachiho)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Essential Functionality:

Purpose of the Job: To securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages and other items to intended location or recipient timely and appropriate manner and support the customer service process of the bank by keeping the work places clean and make it attractive for staffs and customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive and deliver documents, materials, and supplies from office to office within the company.
  • Securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to the intended location or recipient promptly.
  • Protects the confidentiality of information and documents
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirement:

Qualification: Grade 10th /12thComplete

Work Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience.

   Age: Between 18 – 35
