Position 1: Regional Technical Coordinator
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a technical leadership role to build the capacity of zonal TB coordinators (ZTCs) in project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Develop close working relationships with RHBs, ZHDs, Woreda health offices, health facilities and other stakeholders that have responsibility for strengthening and improving integrated TB care services.
- Lead the implementation of high impact TB/MDR TB interventions in the region and monitor progress using agreed upon M&E tools.
- Coordinate targeted supervision to project-supported health facilities that required focused monitoring and supervision.
- Coordinate capacity building to RHB/ZHD and health care workers in TB/MDR TB technical areas and program monitoring (50% of the time).
- Work with central TB LON staff to effectively address operational challenges such as training preparation, supply needs, and the timely cascade of the project’s interventions.
- Regularly monitor the data collection, monitor the implementation, and prepare progress reports.
- Manage financial payment related to project activities.
- Guide and supervise ZTCs on their weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities.
- Lead preparation of regional/ Zonal project annual plan.
- Lead the implementation & monitoring of zonal project activity plan.
- Manage program performance review meetings, supervisions, and trainings on technical areas (TB, DR TB, TPT, TB/HIV and lab).
- Closely work with and support sub granted local organization(s) on community TB care.
- Share /communicate the weekly and monthly zonal level activity implementation status and progress summary reports Perform other duties appropriate to the position as needed and as assigned by the supervisor.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual project progress report.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications and Experience
- BSc in health sciences field such as public health officer, clinical nurse with a MSc/MPH from a recognized university is a plus.
- At least five years of work experience in TB/MDR TB, HIV, or other related infectious diseases.
- Sound knowledge of TB/MDR TB diagnosis, treatment, and associated challenges.
- Previous experience as technical/regional coordinator or equivalent experience in infectious disease program preferably in TB control program.
- Experience in working with the RHB/ZHD and building the capacity of health care workers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with culturally diverse partners.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic is required. Additional fluency in the region-specific language is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues and partners.
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40% time) within the regions.
- Good interpersonal skills with experience in networking with partners at all levels (region, zones, districts, health facilities, and local community-based organizations).
- Ability to cope with a demanding work environment and to organize and prioritize workload.

Position 2: Senior SBCC and Gender Advisor
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Technical Director, the SBCC and Gender advisor is more specifically responsible for:
- Coordinate and closely collaborate with stakeholders to develop/adapt and implement appropriate SBBC and gender interventions to maximize TB and MDR-TB detection, prevention, treatment, and care in DRS.
- Lead the development of SBCC work plans and branding/marketing plans for national-level scale-up of targeted inter-personal communication, mid-media and mass media channels to promote healthy behaviors among the target community.
- Oversee and support the implementation of SBCC through regional teams and Local CSOs.
- Work with the program team to develop annual targets, work plans, and quarterly and annual reporting of performance, for SBCC and gender activities.
- Take the lead in development, pretesting, and/or solicitation of relevant SBCC materials and roll out of BCC materials for effective project implementation.
- Serve as a DEIA focal person for the project to build the organizational culture and promote ad monitor the practices in line with the Agency’s DEIA principles and guidance including incorporation of DEIA agenda in the TB LON programmatic designs and implementation processes.
- Build Gender and human rights consideration technical capacity of Local CSOs, community leader and volunteers to carry out effective local level proven approaches to reach priority populations with TB Prevention, Care & Treatment services.
- Identify and support documentation of best practices and use them to showcase the impact of local level BCC, promote learning and lesson sharing in publications, communication materials and conferences.
- Provide technical assistance to the project team to ensure integration of gender in program interventions.
- Work closely with M&E to track and report against gender indicators and disaggregate data by gender to analyze results within each domain.
- Conduct gender assessments, reviews, and audits to assess ways to continually target involvement of women in project specific activities.
- Develop tools, frameworks, and resources to enable better gender integration in the Project.
- Prepare communications materials that highlight the project’s gender equality programming, successes and lessons learnt.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- MA/MSc or BSc/BA in Social/behavioral Sciences, health promotion/education, Human rights and social work, or related field.
- 6years of experience in relevant work.
- Specialized education or experience in health communication and gender.
- Expertise in gender analysis, project design, project monitoring, gender mainstreaming, community participation/empowerment; experience in TB/HIV programming is a plus.
- Experience in training and facilitation.
- Understanding of value, gender norms of the community systems and articulating clear practical recommendations.
- Good personal organizational skills.
- Good report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work within a multicultural setting.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the DRS regions (50% of the time).

Position 3: Senior Pastoralist TB Advisor
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Technical Director, the Pastoralist TB Advisor will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Serve as key technical resource person in the implementation of differentiated TB services for TB LON KAP activity.
- Work in close coordination with the Ministry of Health and National TB program in the introduction of innovations while providing technical assistance to develop strategies on TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment including, TB case finding, TB preventive therapy (TPT), childhood TB, and TB infection prevention control (IPC) for DRS context.
- Provide technical guidance for TB LON activity partners, LIPs and team members through guiding SOPs, training, supportive supervision, and mentoring.
- Develop and/or adapt training materials, facilitate planning, and conduct training for LIPs, health care providers, and community members.
- Participate in workshops, technical working groups and expert committees to identify policy, technical and programmatic gaps in TB diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
- Provide technical support in developing systems, tools, and job aids materials as required for improving TB case finding and treatment, TPT uptake and TB infection control measures.
- Ensure that project implementation adheres to national strategies and remains technically sound.
- Develop tools for the design and implementation of specific technical elements of TB LON KAP activity.
- Provide support in data driven decision making across all levels of the health system to improve TB service quality.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make recommendations for enhancement.
- Lead the design and implementation of quality-of-care interventions, standard of care (SOC) tools, and approaches for different contexts focusing on the pastoralist communities and other TB KAP groups in DRS.
- Ensure the quality of implemented technical activities and systems at all levels, with primary focus to the PHCU.
- Participate in the development of a work plan.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports as well as progress reports as required.

- A BSC in Health with a master’s degree in public health or MD with MPH or a closely related field of study in healthcare is required.
- Work Experience of at least five years in specific TB programming including community-based care, Systematic Active community-based TB case-finding practices for KAPs or working experience with the private sector in TB engagement.
- Experience in providing technical support to the PHCU, preferably in the local contexts.
- Sound understanding of Human-right-based TB programming in diversity, and inclusiveness towards Universal health access in TB for all segments of the population.
- Solid understanding of the Ethiopian health system, the National TB program strategies, and the determinants and opportunities in the contexts of the supported DRS contexts.
- Technical skills in capacity development, supervision, and mentoring/coaching skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues and partners.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to travel frequently within the DRS regions (60% of the time).
