British Council would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Arts Project Manager
Role specific knowledge and minimum requirements:
University degree in Arts, Culture, or other relevant fields of study
A proven track record of:
Building and maintaining partnerships
Securing partnership funding
Identifying business development opportunities and marketing
Experience of client management, partner management and/or contract management
Knowledge of the Ethiopian and SSA Creative sector
High interpersonal and communication skills
Desirable:
Foundation level Project Management qualification (in-house training or evidence of CPD in this area could be considered)

Contract Type: Two (2) Years Fixed Term Contract
Salary: ETB 71, 454.00 plus benefits
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Language Requirements: Written and verbal proficiency in English is required, and local language native speaker/CEFR C1
Role holder must have existing rights to live and work in the country the role is based.

Position 2: English Language Advisor (TREE)

Requirements Of The Role:
Minimum/essential
First degree
TEFL-Q: a diploma level qualification in teaching English as a foreign / second language
Minimum 3 years’ post TEFL-Q experience of English language teaching and training
Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing partner funded ELT reform programmes in public education systems and working with a range of external and internal partners, e.g. Ministries of Education, teacher training institutes, education boards and international development organisations
Minimum 2 years’ experience of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) teaching or training
Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing external international consultants
Experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa and/or other development contexts
Desirable:
Experience of managing remote/blended English language teaching programmes
Experience of working in primary education sector in a developing context
Experience of working in language supportive pedagogy and/or materials development
Experience of project management of English language teaching materials development projects
Experience of managing the development of English courses, including e-learning courses

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Lapsing in February 2028 (tbc)
NB: Role contingent on award of project contract
Salary: ETB 91, 454.00 plus benefits
