Broadcom Networks Consultancy Service PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Human Resource and Administration Manager
Job Summary
As HR Manager you will provide operational and strategic support in all areas of Human Resources including recruitment, onboarding, compensation & benefits, employee relations, training & development, performance management, employment law and HR administration. You will build on and leverage existing HR processes and develop new ones for the Ethiopian office in line with global HR standards & procedures as well as local legal requirements.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- HR Management System: Develop a strong HR system in the country office in accordance with existing organizational policies and procedures, including development of comprehensive HR database to the country office.
- Recruitment and hiring: Write and post a job ad, Review resumés, Pre-screen candidates, administer skills tests, interview applicants, and make hiring decision and an employment offer together with the senior management
- Induction and onboarding: Coordinate, develop and organize comprehensive induction of new employees and prepare them for integration with the organization and their responsibilities
- Staff development: Coordinate staff capacity building and identify, together with respective managers and thematic specialist, training opportunities (internal training, educational programs, conferences, etc.) to keep employees up to date in their respective fields and in accordance with Light for the World policy so as to align with country strategy and organizational development need;
- Keep track of employee performance: – establish a framework for employee’s performance management, train and facilitate the process.
- Manage benefits and compensation: – are responsible for managing employees’ benefits and compensation and creating a comprehensive benefits program for both voluntary and mandated benefits. Achieving the right balance between limiting operational costs and creating a stimulating work environment is the responsibility of the HR manager.
- Create safe working environment -The incumbent is also responsible to take care of the implementation of policies (safeguarding, anti-corruption, safety, and security, etc) and monitor their compliance, both internally and at partner level.
- Facilitate and improve internal communication, support organizational culture, and create grievance handling mechanisms.
- Responsible for overall compliance functions within the organization by working very closely with management team
- Contributes to the development of organizational frameworks, policies, and procedures in their area of responsibility
- In charge of all administration duties
- Please note that this role profile will be further enriched in the due course of the organizational development process which may encompasses other responsibilities as it deemed necessary.
Job Requirement
- MBA/BSC Degree in Human Resource Management or related disciplines
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in HR, 4 of which must have been in a senior position in telecommunication Industry.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the relevant policies and legal framework about human resource management and law.
- Certification with HR Professional body is an added advantage
- Other Skills/Training:
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to maintain Highly confidentiality
- Good problem solving & time management skills
- High level of professional integrity and commitment
- Must have a good social attitude
- Candidates should possess an excellent speaking and writing English skill.

Position 2: Accountant
Job Summary
To provide records of assets, liabilities and financial transactions; advises supervisor on accounting problems; prepares and submits periodic financial statements; brings up discrepancies to the attention of supervisor
Responsibilities
- Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable;
- Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results;
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status;
- Maintains accounts in accounting activities as cash sales, credit sales, CRV, receivable and collection
- Prepares financial statement, payroll calculation, reconciliation bank statement, vender ledger with payable accounts and stock balance with subsidiary ledger;
- Ensures the recording of description, location, value and other pertinent information of all company’s equipment, buildings and other property
- Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses;
- Classify costs accurately and establish standard costs and update them as appropriate;
- Manage junior accountants and bookkeepers;
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process;
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process;
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule;
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns;
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- BSc in Accounting or Finance
- At least 4-5 years’ Work experience as an Accountant in similar positions, preferably in Telecommunication Industry
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Certified by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Good knowledge of MS office and MS Excel skills
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Self-motivation, commercial awareness, initiative and the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT and numerical abilities are crucial.
