Position 1: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist – Afar
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOW HOW)
A) EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Social Science, public health, or other related fields.
Knowledge of statistical software.
Desired:
Master’s degree on the above discipline
B) EXPERIENCE
Required:
4 years of relevant experience with the first degree.
3 years of relevant experience plus post graduate degree.
Desired:
NGO experience.
C) TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required:
Highly organized, attention to detail and analytical skills
Computer skill particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skill.

Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Desired:
Utilizing programming and statistical software to compile data and information for various systems, and knowledge of basic PME and research tools

Position 2: Gender and Livelihood Specialist – Afar
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOW HOW)
A) EDUCATION
Required:
BA degree in Gender, social sciences, livelihood, business, economics, nutrition, food security, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Desired:
MBA or MSC on the above discipline or related field related.
B) EXPERIENCE
Required:
- 4 years of relevant experience with the first degree and 3 years of relevant experience plus post graduate degree of progressive responsibility relating to gender, livelihood, economic development.
- Experience with undertaking capacity building initiatives and partnership management.
- Experience with undertaking operational research related activities.

Required:
- Livelihoods promotion program design and management
- Computer skills (Word, excel);

B) EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Four (4) years of relevant experience with the first degree and 3 years of relevant experience plus post graduate degree in community participatory project implementation preferably on Adolescent SRH and nutrition or related activities.
C) TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required:
- Supervisory skill.
- Computer proficiency.
- Good communication and report writing skill.

- Data base management and interpretation knowledge as well as skill
- Familiarity/training in participatory extension approach.

B) EXPERIENCE:

- 5 years of relevant experience with the first degree or 4 years of relevant experience plus post graduate degree in DM&E, MIS, research, needs assessment, baseline surveys, regular progress monitoring, project evaluation.
- At least 1 year of management experience

Position 7: Team Leader – Agriculture + Cash
Qualifications
Required:
- BA Degree in Disaster Management or International Development or related field of study
- 4 years of relevant experience with the first degree or 3 years of relevant experience plus post graduate degree in emergency programming, disaster management, rural livehood programs, food security interventions, agriculture and/ or cash and program management
- Proficiency in verbal and written English, proposal development, strategic and operational planning, budget planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, report writing
- Proficiency in standard office software package
- Demonstrated leadership ability to inspire and empower others.
- Good interpersonal communication skill and ability to effectively liaise with government, community leaders and other stakeholders.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.

A) EDUCATION
Required:
BA degree in business administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Agriculture, or related fields of study or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

MA degree in business administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Agriculture, or related fields of study or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
B) Experience
Required:
- 4 years of relevant experience with the first degree or 3 years of relevant experience plus post graduate degree in progressive responsibility relating to economic development within the holistic livelihoods’ security framework in rural areas of developing countries including experience with sustainable livelihoods or other people centred approaches and women empowerment context.
- Experience working on livelihoods project implementation and experience managing and compiling regular project implementation progress reporting, program/project development, and management in an emergency context.
- Specific experience in project design and implementation, including managing market analyses and scoping of livelihood opportunities for affected population.
- Proven experience in designing, facilitating, and implementing livelihood training for a variety of stakeholders and experience with undertaking capacity building initiatives and training guide development.
- Experience working on disability mainstreaming.
Desired:
- Previous experience working for an international NGO.
- Previous experience of working in food security and livelihoods
