Position 1: Junior Physiotherapist

Job Summary: –

Under the general supervision of the Physiotherapist the Junior Physiotherapist is responsible for the preparation of patients for physical therapy treatment, assistance of the physiotherapist during administration of treatments, and provision of routine treatments.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers active and passive manual therapeutic massage, and heat, light, sound, water and electrical modality treatments for in and out patients (Clients).
  • Administers traction to relieve neck and back pain using intermittent and static treatment equipment
  • Instructs, motivates  and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities such as daily living activities
  • Fits patients for adjusts, and trains patients in use and care for orthopedic braces, prosthesis and supportive devices such as crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
  • May adjust fit of supportive devices for patients as instructed
  • Participates in CE outreach program
  • Replaces the Center’s Nurse on weekends during her absence
  • Performs any other related duties assigned to him/her by the Physiotherapist or/and Physiotherapy unit Supervisor or Technical Coordinator.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

BSC degree in physiotherapy

Work Experience: 0 year experience

Salary: Birr 10,536.00

Position 2: Cashier-Secretary

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effects petty cash payments, prepares petty cash replenishment
  • Receives cash and/or check against cash receipts, deposits collected money in the bank and draw cash from the bank
  • Records cash received and deposited on daily basis and prepares collection and deposit reports
  • Conduct cross reference bank deposit slips and/or check deposits against cash and/or check receipts to which they relate
  • Disburse authorized payments from petty cash after examining the validity of payments vouchers and other supporting documents
  • Pays authorized advances for purchases, transportation, etc in accordance with applicable advance forms
  • Prepares journal vouchers for any bank transfers.
  • Records daily petty cash payments chronologically
  • Notify the staff for settlement of previously withdrawn funds and inform same to his/her supervisor for action
  • Effects payments for dully authorized purchases of material or services
  • Submits reports of receivables and payables as and when requested
  • Count petty cash on hand daily and reconcile the balance plus suspense vouchers with the petty cash register balance and inform overage or shortage
  • Prepares payroll and effects payments timely
  • Handles taxes, insurances fee and other payments and collections on time
  • Receives  and records letters and address to the concerned body
  • Undertakes any secretarial works.
  • Replaces the admin assistance on her absence and undertakes the responsibility.
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned to her by the immediate supervisor or Finance and procurement director

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • Diploma or Level II in supply management, ICT, Secretarial   science & Office Management, accounting
  • 2/4 years relevant Experience
  • Computer, secretarial and cashier Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Peach tree is an advantage

Position 3: Storekeeper

Job Summary: –

Under the general supervision of the general service and property officer, the Storekeeper  performs routine stock recording, dispatching and receiving materials from/to  within established policies, procedures and systems.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accepts purchased materials and stores in the stores
  • Issues materials from stock against properly authorized issue vouchers
  • Reports to the general service and property officer on items requested but not available in the stores
  • Reconciles daily the bin card balance and the physical count
  • Gives reference codes to the newly purchased Asset items
  • Ensures protection of stock from damages or spoilage
  • Maintains a register book for recording items received and issued
  • Shelves the finished products received and purchased items properly on the agreed storage system
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned to him/her by the general service and property officer or HRD& log Director

Position 4: Communication and Partnership Officer

Job Summary:

Under supervision and directive of the Program Director, plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the communication services, as well as resource mobilization and partnership activities of Cheshire Ethiopia.

Detail Job Description:

  • Review, monitor and document donor funding policies and trends in Ethiopia for wider inclusive interventions
  • Actively involves in developing a fund generation, resource mobilization and partnership, and communicationwork plans and constantly follow up the implementation of the plans.
  • Identifies, engages and secures material and financial support from contributors, partners, and prospective contributors from the governments, other public sector, foundations, private sectors, and alternative sources of finance.
  • Leads resource mobilization capacity development planning and implementation works of the organization
  • Assess and develop plan how to develop and sustain partnerships
  • Lead the development of resource mobilization andmedia strategies and policies
  • Advise the senior management and the executive director on communication and public relations and resource mobilization issues and lead the organization of special events per given direction.
  • Access the different forms of the media and existing forums to prepare press release of CE related information to end users
  • Prepares and designs, and produces periodic newsletters, fliers, brochures, and other publicationsfor promotion, fundraising, and other purposes.
  • Assists in preparing documents such as organizational profiles, speeches and texts for updating a range of audience.
  • Arranges communication and fundraising training, workshops and media exposure visits.
  • Assists in developing information technology utilization policy and procedures and ways to prevent CE data base management from Possible virus attacks.
  • Manage and contribute to the development and continual update of the CE website and social media pages.
  • Archive the organization’s performance through picture& videodocumentation, case stories, voice recording, and
  • Engage goodwill ambassador at different platforms of the organization
  • Manage the proper application of organizational theme and logo
  • Track funding opportunities and facilitate the development of funding proposals
  • Work closely with Cheshire Ethiopia relevant teams and its rehabilitation centers in different regions on resource mobilization and communication engagements
  • Lead the development and publication of event and annual magazines
  • Lead the organization and attendance of portfolio showcasing events and exhibitions
  • Lead the organization of resource mobilization events including the customary annual fundraising walks
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned by the program Director.

Position 5: Menagesha Rehabilitation Center (MRC) Manager

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs, controls, implements and evaluates programmatic and administrative activities of the Center
  • Develops multi-year operational plans aimed to help achieve goals and objectives of the organization and ensure plans are in line with the mission, values and strategic direction of CE
  • Manages all activities, resources and assets of the Center under his supervision
  • Identifies critical issues in the implementation of project and take the necessary actions to address problems and constraints
  • Fosters effective team work between sections and staff and develop spirit of ownership and client serving attitude
  • Designs and prepares project documents identified to fulfill the needs of the Center.
  • Maintains proper records, data and documentation  of the Center
  • Ensures effective and efficient utilization of project budget and other resources for intended purpose; follows up on budget utilization and project expenditure as required
  • Prepares timely donor reports including confirmation of accuracy and consistency between narrative and financial reports
  • Serves as a liaison officer in dealing with government authorities and other stakeholders
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the activities of the Center
  • Looks for local fundraising for the Center and maximizing existing resources
  • Undertakes situation analysis as per the agreed work plan and establishes baseline data for monitoring progress
  • Designs results based monitoring and evaluation process for the Center
  • Facilitates on the job trainings, joint integrated supportive supervisions and review meetings
  • Facilitates planned studies, terminal and other review and evaluation of projects through participatory process
  • Organizesthe mobile outreach, CBR and vocational training in consultation with the head office
  • Gathers information, document and communicate project achievements, lessons best practices and case stories as appropriate to make sure that the activities are done efficiently and all donor requirements are followed as per their agreements
  • Perform any other related duties assigned to him/her by the Executive Director of CE.

MCS/BSC Msc/BSC degree in Rehabilitation Management, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Social work, Bio-mechanics, P&O, Business Administration.

Leading, Coordinating, Team Building , Demonstrated leadership

Selling the vision; passionate for result; leading change & empowerment

Salary: Birr 29,213.00
