Position 1: General Service Officer
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and control church supplies and assets
- Coordinate building maintenance and repair works
- Handle transportation and logistics services
- Supervise support staff (cleaners, drivers, security personnel)
- Liaise and coordinate with external service providers and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procurement procedures
- Minimum Qualifications:
- TVET Degree or Diploma in Building Electrical Installation, Metalwork, Woodwork, or Automotive Technology
- Diploma holders: Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Degree holders: Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Liaison or coordination experience is an advantage
- Experience in a church or faith-based organization is a plus
- Must be a Protestant Christian
- Required Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong teamwork skills
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
Position 2: Cashier
- Employment Type: Permanent/Full-Time
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Lambert
- Requirements:
- Female, Protestant Christian
- Education: BA in Accounting from a recognized university or college
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Experience in fund management and reporting is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Familiarity with accounting software (Peachtree Accounting) is a major plus
- Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure financial documents are in place and approvals obtained before payment
- Register and maintain detailed financial transactions
- Prepare regular reports to the Senior Accountant
- Post financial transactions in Peachtree Accounting
- Prepare payment vouchers, petty cash, journal vouchers, and receipts
- Follow up on collections and bank deposits daily
- Maintain cheque book custody
- Ensure advance payments and uncollected checks are cleared timely
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reports.
