Danish Refugee Council would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following vacant position.

Position 1: Protection Officer-Case Management Supervisor

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Provide ongoing technical guidance and mentorship to GBV caseworkers, ensuring adherence to GBV case management principles, the Inter-Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines, and survivor-centred approaches.

Promote staff well-being by creating a supportive environment and facilitating regular debriefings and reflective practices.

Conduct individual supervision sessions with each GBV caseworker on a weekly basis, dedicating at least one hour per session to review case progress, discuss challenges, and provide technical feedback.

Facilitate bi-weekly case management team meetings to encourage peer learning, case conferencing, and team cohesion.

Perform a thorough review of case files on a bi-weekly basis to ensure the quality, accuracy, and confidentiality of documentation.

Conduct regular capacity assessments of GBV caseworkers, identify strengths and gaps, and develop targeted action plans to address performance and learning needs.

Develop monthly supervision plans in collaboration with each caseworker to prioritize follow-up, capacity building, and mentoring activities.

Monitor the quality and consistency of data entry into systems, ensuring accurate reporting and data protection protocols are followed.

Provide direct supervision and mentoring to case management staff, enhancing their technical competencies.

In collaboration with Case Mgt Specialist, identify training needs and develop capacity-building plans for staff and volunteers involved in GBV case management.

Deliver training sessions, coaching, and on-the-job support to strengthen staff and volunteers’ understanding of GBV principles, case management, psychosocial support, referral pathways, and documentation.

Provide direct case management support for complex, high-risk, or sensitive cases that require advanced intervention or where additional support is necessary.

Ensure that all interventions uphold the safety, dignity, and confidentiality of survivors and adhere to best practices in survivor-centred response.

Undertake any other protection-related tasks as assigned by the Protection Manager and case Mgt specialist, including support in assessments, coordination, reporting, or community-based protection activities as needed.

Reporting and administrative responsibilities

Ensure the maintenance and regular update of case management database and other relevant trackers;

Responsible for entering client data on the DRC Case Management IM system or excel forms (as appropriate) in a timely manner

Ensure all case management relevant materials are procured in time and quality

Responsible to compile case management weekly/monthly and annually reports.

About You

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in GBV case management, preferably with an international humanitarian organization.

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work in complex and difficult circumstances.

Field experience in emergency context is highly desirable

High level of personal initiative, analytical skills and pro-active problem solving.

Demonstrated people’s management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain working relationships across the organization.

Be a team player

Cultural sensitivity, and commitment and understanding of the values of DRC. Good communication skills.

Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures

Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

A sensitive approach to external representation

EDUCATION: (include certificates, licenses, etc.)

University degree in social work, social science, law or other relevant field from a recognized institution

LANGUAGE: (indicate fluency level)

Good proficiency in written and spoken English, Amharic and Tigrinya

Position 2: Safety Officer

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

In coordination with the Dollo Ado Area Manager and Safety / Access coordinator based in Addis, the Safety Officer should achieve the overall and specific position objectives and will perform the following tasks and undertake the following responsibilities:

Conduct drafts of required assessments including Context Assessments, and participate in field missions and undertake safety risk assessments.

Develop Safety Plans including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Local Safety Rules (LSR), Safety Briefings, Safety Advisories, and Site Evaluation Checklist (SES) based on Safety Assessments

Ensure all staff adhere to safety policies and rules.

Keep Record of Emergency Data (RED) list updated and ensure all new staff will submit their forms

Lead in identifying and minimizing potential safety risks to staff, partners, assets, and operations/programs.

Update and brief all DRC staff regarding security and context situations.

Contribute to the development of operational and programmatic contingency plans that respond to different emergency scenarios.

Actively support the Safety and Access coordinator to ensure and monitor compliance with Minimum Operating Safety Standards (MOSS)

Provide detailed information to AM to make GO or NO-GO decision

Conduct safety inspections of field sites to establish and implement corrective measures

Maintained safety upgrade plans and develop a Safety Improvement Plan (SIP) based on the needs in the DRC office and field.

Establish phone trees, alert rosters, and alert procedures; ensure the timely dissemination of relevant safety information to all field staff and NGO partners or UN and build a strong network with Safety-related stakeholders: local authorities, NGO and UN Safety staff,

Build and maintain contacts with relevant actors in the field, in order to ensure organizational acceptance and awareness of safety concerns.

Ensure monitoring that all visitors are searched, registered, and escorted in the area office and other facilities.

Follow up with the Supply Chain on weekly movement plan for staff and provide safety clearance accordingly

Monitor area office guards and drivers’ capacity and report to the Area Manager any risks

Ensure proper filing of all vehicle and guards room documents including log books for vehicles, visitors, and others.

Respond to and/or assist the Safety and Access coordinator to respond to any Safety Incident or accident in the field involving any DRC staff, vehicle, asset, or program and report immediately.

Ensure all vehicles are equipped as per required standards and SOPs.

Ensure required safety equipment and communications equipment are identified, acquired, and maintained in good working condition.

Assess safety training needs; plan, organize, and document relevant safety trainings.

Create and conduct safety briefings and training for all personnel and visitors; design and run regular safety drills.

Any other duties as requested by Area Manager and Safety and Access coordinator

About You

Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)

Having a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant working experience. 5 years of relevant work experience (Safety or Risk Management) may be considered in the absence of a full Bachelor’s Degree.

Previous experiences with humanitarian organizations in similar fields are an advantage.

Good reporting and communication skills; ability to coordinate staff, create work schedules and work plan

Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel), and email/Teams, and the internet.

Ability to build relationships with local authorities, good organizational skills and ethics.

Ability to work under pressure and be flexible in working hours.

Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Stable, moral, and robust character and a good team player.

High personal and professional integrity.

Position 3: Finance Assistant/Cashier( Maternity Cover)

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Finance and Cash Management

Handle Country Officer cash and cash transactions carefully and safely;

Prepare receipt, payment, and other vouchers as required;

Pay all cash payments upon approval of authorized DRC managers;

Keep office petty cash to an appropriate authorized limit and make timely replenishment;

Assist CO staff in daily financial activities;

Undertake monthly salary payment to staff and file legal taxes and pension to the concerned authorities on time

Ensure full documentation before effecting any payment;

Conduct regular cash count;

Ensure monthly closing and cash flow status report is produced on time, in both electronic and hard copies;

Maintain proper filing systems of financial documents in hard copy and electronic system on time;

Ensure accounting records are kept updated, are reliable and are maintained according to DRC accounting practices;

Ensure timely and accurate encoding of all financial movements;

Record expense & revenue on DRC Dynamics

Payment and cash flow

Maintain cashbooks/DRC Dynamics and accounts records and ensure payments are allocated to the correct project and budget line;

Ensure all relevant documentation is collected, checked and attached to payment vouchers;

Handle all cash, including petty cash and local bank accounts, and maintain and balance daily cash books;

Collect cash money and deal with any other business with the bank;

Manage cash balances to ensure that sufficient balances are maintained for ongoing activities while preventing too high balances to avoid incurring high exchange rate charges.

Ensure telephone and electricity bills are paid in time every month;

Prepare and report monthly WHT, VAT summary to the authorized legal office

Other Duties

Replace Finance Officer during absence.

Perform other relevant duties as assigned by line manager.

About You

Ability to work independently and in a team;

Ability to use ERP systems & MS Office with advanced excel proficiency;

BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or other directly related field from University or higher education

Languages: (indicate fluency level)

Excellent skills in speaking, reading and writing English.
