Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) is a privately-owned international multidisciplinary consulting organization in engineering, architecture, planning, environment, project and construction management, facilities management, and economics, founded in 1956, its principal design head office and technical support facilities are located in Beirut, Lebanon; Cairo, Egypt; London, UK; Pune, India; and Amman, Jordan; with a network of 47 permanent local branch offices throughout the Middle East, Africa Asia and Europe of which 23 are on the African continent.
Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) Ethiopia Branch would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Project Assistants/ Document Controllers
What are the tasks and responsibilities of project assistants?
- Project assistants/document controllers perform administrative tasks according to the instructions of their project managers and ensure smooth communication between all relevant parties.
- Support with the preparation of Letters, reports, and all project-related documentation
- Management of the project office
- Internal and external communication
- Follow-up of meetings and presentations
- Acting as a stand-in for the project manager
- General organizational tasks
Job Requirements
Which hard skills and soft skills should project assistants have?
Project assistants should be proficient in applying standard project management methods. Furthermore, they should have a good command of MS Office and the common project planning tools and be familiar with the relevant industry and the company’s business environment. Project assistants should possess a large range of soft skills, be able to work proactively, and always think ahead.

- A high level of personal responsibility and self-discipline
Education:
Degree in Business Administration, Library Management, Record Management, or related fields.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 2 years experience in Document archive or record Management and experience in an engineering company is advantageous.
