Position 1: – Senior Accountant
Duties & Responsibilities of the position:
Handle and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
Handle cash sales invoices, credit sales invoices, check payment vouchers, petty cash management.
Update accounts receivable payable and perform reconciliations.
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on overall financial transaction of the company.
Ensure cash collection from each sales with proper issuance of cash receipt and deposit the collected amount immediately to the company account.
Prepare cash collection and deposit status report weekly.
Update and keep financial documents and records in appropriate record keeping formats.
Assist General accounts head in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
Job Requirements
Education and experience:
A minimum of BA degree in accounting and Finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Experiences in Peachtree, Excel, computer skill and other accounting software
Listing and writing Amharic and English languages
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
Flexibility regarding working hours.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Position 2:- General Accounts Head
Main duties and responsibilities:
Management of general ledger and all accounting activities to enable statuary financial requirement to be met
Ensure all accounting activities are performed to the required time and quality standards
Plans organize, directs, coordinates, and control general accounting operation of the company
Implements approved accounting policies and procedures; recommends improvements in existing accounting operation system
Maintain proper books of accounts and records for the company financial and accounting transaction including accounts receivable, Account payable & general ledger
Check and certifies coding of accounts, payroll and salary-related payments, cash position reports, payment voucher, schedule of account, journal entries, and payroll & bank reconciliation
Checks and certifies replenishment of petty cash funds
Verifies that all cash and cheque payments are made as per approved policies and procedures
Verifies that proper authorization is obtained before payment is effected, checks the authenticity of documents that support payment
Ensure the timely settlement of payable accrue from the company’s transaction and undertakings, ensures taxes and fees payable by the company are paid in time
Verifies the accounting and financial transactions done conform to approved policies and procedures of the company
Prepare interim and end year adjustments
Prepare interim reports required by management
Supervise the work of employees of the division
Ensure that the financial documents and records of the company are maintained in strict confidentiality
Prepare periodic reports on the operation of the department
Perform related functions that will be assigned by the heads as the need arises
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
BA Degree in Accounting & Finance
Minimum 10 Years Progressive accounting experience with the portion of it being in a Supervisory Role
Excellent verbal & written communication abilities across all level of an organization
Strong leadership skill
Excellent computer skill in ms office and Peachtree
Understand and have knowledge of Accounting Principles, Practices, Standards, Laws & Regulations.
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
Flexibility regarding working hours.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
