Ethiopian Construction Design & Supervision Works Corporation would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following Positions.
Position 1: Senior Accountant
Position Overview/Scope of role:
This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, reviewing the work of junior project accountant, collect and record GRN & GIN, complete VAT declaration for project and submit to HO
Top Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create and submit government reports and tax returns related to projects.
- Support the project team regarding compliance, payments, reports and any other duties related to the project.
- Ensure to collect and record GRN and GIN raised in the project site in stock card (excel)
- Complete and submit VAT declaration each month to Head Office.
- Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project materials purchase.
- Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to a project
- Review account totals related to project assets and expenses
- Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
- Report on project profitability to management
- Report to management on any opportunities for additional billings
- Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects
- Create or approve all project-related billings to customers
- Investigate all project expenses not billed to customers
- Update project site fixed asset register and count annually and periodically as needed.
- Participate in year end and monthly fixed asset count
- Participate in year end and monthly inventory count
- Verifying inventory counts and recording adjustments to inventory levels for items that have been used, damaged, or lost
- Check the reconciliation of stock account system with general ledger.
- Ensure the management of petty cash, wage, fuel management and follow up and verify monthly cash count.
- Close out project accounts upon project completion and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance
- 5 and above years of experience as accountant in construction company.
- Strong Communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

Position 2: Procurement Engineer (MEP)
Position Overview/Scope of role:
Work on getting /purchasing the best quality with the best price within the target dates from the suppliers and registering new subcontractors /suppliers when needed. Prepare tender, and float to supplier /subcontract.
The Procurement Engineer investigates the market with specifications and performance requirements for MEP Material, analyses technical and commercial data based on the responses received, and re-iterates with bidders, recommending those most desirable using tools like bid comparison tables/ BOQs.
Top Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handling efficiently all the procurement activities related to HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, ELV Systems, ICT materials, electronics, etc.
- To procure equipment, materials & systems complying with project Quality and Specification requirements.
- To procure materials and subcontract promptly within approved budgeted cost.
- Compare vendors’ offers financially
- Before ordering, check all ex-stock availability in central stores and sub-stores.
- To ensure timely delivery of equipment, material & systems to support site installation works as per the approved work program
- All procurement processes should comply with management-approved procedures and policies concerning time, cost, and quality.
- Prepare documentation for internal process as per ISO Standards.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain company reputation & credibility through fair dealings and prompt payment.
- To procure materials and subcontract promptly within approved budgeted cost.
- Must be familiar with IEC, DIN (VDE), NEC, UMC, and UPC with the ability to render services, design, and estimate per the mentioned code
- Negotiate with subcontractors technically, to ensure the compliance of the officer with all project requirements as mentioned in the RFQ.
- Negotiate with supplier /subcontractor to reach the optimum price with the required specifications.
- Coordinate with the site the on-time delivery.
- Follow up on the approval of the materials submitted.
- Keep track of all supplier’s/subcontractor’s performance.
- Visit sites, suppliers, and factories regularly and when needed.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of which 2 years in the field of materials and services procurement for construction contracts. Previous on-site experience. The ability to deal with Suppliers, and subcontractors able to exercise budgetary control of local purchase systems and deal effectively with suppliers
- Strong Communication skills
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

Position 3: Security Coordinator – Projects
Position Overview/Scope of role:
Security Coordinator have To secure the company property and safety of workers, implementing all security protocols,supervising security staff and conducting security evaluation .
Top Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with department managers to determine security needs.
- Planning and implementing comprehensive security strategies.
- Controlling the security operations budget, monitoring expenses, and documenting processes.
- Supervising, recruiting, and training security personnel. ▪ Gathering security intelligence and implementing preventative measures.
- Developing work schedules, allocating tasks, and monitoring personnel performance.
- Hiring and on boarding new security guards with HR department.
Job Requirements:
- TVET Level IV/III in Management or related fields and Military/police training is certificate is mandatory
- Minimum of 6(six) years in the field

Position 4: Site Administrator
Scope of the role:
Role holder will be responsible to plan and coordinate the end to end EEIG Constructions site related HR activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The role holder interacts with many different people within the project site, including site crew members, supervisors and accounting/finance representative.
- Role holder reports directly to head office HR Admin and Advisor with a dotted line to the site project manager.
- The role holder collects and enters numerous sets of data, including new joiners end to end information regularly and submits for head office HR
- The role holder plays a key role in the implementation of new employee induction/orientation programs. When the company hires new site staff / laborers, for instance, the site HR Administrator will organize a session to induct new joiners about the company, its vision and values, roles and responsibilities, on the project’s regulations and working conditions etc.
- Responsible for informing employees about different policies and procedures
- Maintaining employee records and facilitate new hiring processes and make sure every formality and document is present on time in full without error.
- Managing on site grievances
- At a minimum this person provides information on timekeeping on the minimum number of labor hours per day, reporting and breaking times and provisions for overtime, if any. In general, the role holder is also responsible for but not limited to;
- Maintaining time and / attendance sheets
- Verifying accurate hours worked including overtime hours and ensuring to submit time sheets for Finance department for payroll purpose
- Reporting absent employees
- Keeping track of all types of leaves
- Calculate wages and deductions
- Monitor reports for discrepancies
- Manage site employees related cost management, Perdeim management etc
- Another part of the job is to maintain meeting schedules of a construction project as deemed necessary.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Management/economics/HR or related field of study and 1-2 years of experience
