MICROFINANCE AT THE SERVICE OF RURAL PEOPLE IN ETHIOPIA
Eshet is a microfinance institution created in 2000. ERSHA is another partner of SOSFim. It operates in three rural areas in the highlands of the Omoro region. Like other microfinance institutions, SOS Fime partners, Eshet mainly targets rural and semi-rural residents in agriculture.

ENCOURAGING RESULTS
At the end of 2019, ESHET counted:
19,845 clients (beneficiaries of credit and/or savings services)
Outstanding loans of €1.9 million
Outstanding savings of 934,000 €
35% of clients are women
WHAT PROSPECTS?
By the end of 2021, ESHET aims for:
5 new rural savings and credit banks
1,750 beneficiary members of these funds (70% of whom are women)
10,150 rural borrowers benefiting from financial services (50% of whom are women)
Eshete Microfinance Institution S. Co would like to invite competent applicants for the following positions:
Job Title 1: Cashier
Qualification: Diploma or 10+3
Experience: A minimum of three years relevant work experience preferably in the area of microfinance or related experience.
Job Title 2: Saving & Credit Officer
Qualification: Diploma in Management, Accounting/ Agriculture or related fields.
Experience: More than Three years relevant work Experience.
Summary of Duties:
Gives training and advices for formation of cohesive self initiated joint liability groups
Promotes the company’s services to prospective clients that are the right target group’s meeting place
Attends group meetings regularly and respecting the agreed upon meeting time at the group’s meeting place.
Ensures compliance of the members with the bylawa of their groups
Processes loan application and loan contract at the time of disbursement.
Job Title 3: Branch Manager
Qualification: BA/Diploma in Management, Accounting, Agriculture or other related filed.
Experience: A minimum of three years experience for Diploma holder or two years experience for Degree holder in the area of microfinance
Skill:
Certificate of Computer/Excel, word, power point & Internet
Having Driving license of Motor-Bick is an asset.
Language skill Afaan Oromo & Amharic is a Mandatory
