Prior to the construction of the new railway, the only means of transportation b/n Addis Ababa and Djibouti was via a narrow-gauge railway that was built over a century ago and was in need of modernization.
The Ethio-Djibouti Railway has also helped to improve trade and economic ties between Ethiopia and Djibouti, as the port of Djibouti is the main gateway for Ethiopia’s international trade, with more than 90 percent of Ethiopia’s imports and exports passing through the port.
Overall, the Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway is an important infrastructure project that has the potential to boost economic growth and improve transportation links between the two country of Ethiopia and Djibouti.
Ethio DJibouti standard Gauge Railway (EDSGR) would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
