Position 1: Head, Director General Office (Readvert)
Job Requirements
- Masters or Ph.D. Degree in Economics, Business Management/Administration, and/or relevant field of studies,
- Minimum 14 years for Masters and 8 years for Ph.D. relevant work experience out of which Seven or more years of experience in leadership, a business management or executive role,
- Demonstrated competencies in strategic management, general management/Leadership, team building, effective communication, Stakeholder management,
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives,
- Strong analytical and project-reporting skills, with focus on internal and external communications,
- Excellent written, and verbal communication and presentation skills both in English and Amharic languages,
- Experience in planning and coordinating high-level teams in consulting or other highly competitive and fast-pacing professional sectors,
- Highly collaborative leadership style and demonstrated success in leading, managing and developing high-performance teams,
- Strong ability to effectively liaise with internal teams and external senior stakeholders and partners.
- Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative problem-solving acumen,

Position 2: Senior Project Officer II – Crop Value Chain
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in agronomy, plant production, seed science, horticultural science or related fields.
- AT least 8 years experience in agricultural development projects.
- Professional field experience in at least six of the following (more is an asset): i) farming system analysis, ii) seed value chains (formal and informal) support, iii) agro ecological practices, iv) horticulture, v) adaptive research, vi) participative research farmer groups, vii) establishment of Seed Producer Cooperative Unions (SPCU), viii) Community seed banks, or ix) agricultural extension service development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the national regulatory framework
- Knowledge of Ethiopia with knowledge of the Northern Ethiopian context is a strong asset.
- Experience in Participatory Guarantee Scheme (PGS) establishment is an asset.
- Proficiency in oral and written English and in Amharic.
- Familiarity with Ethiopia’s agricultural research system is an asset.
- Sensitivity to gender and environmental issues.
- Desire of improving the lives of smallholder farmers.
- Willingness to undertake frequent field visits.
- Computer literacy.
- Rigor, autonomy, and integrity.

Position 3: Senior Project Officer II – Livestock Value Chain
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Animal Science, Animal Production, or related fields.
- AT least 8-years’ experience in agricultural development projects of which half in relation to livestock development.
- Professional field experience in at least 3 of the following (four is an asset): i) fodder production multiplication and distribution, ii) farming system analysis, iii) soil fertility management, iv) experience in pastoralist areas of livestock management.
- Experience in agroecological practices is an asset.
- Experience of adaptive research and/or participative research farmer groups is an asset.
- Knowledge of Livestock strategy and management.
- Knowledge of the Northern Ethiopian farming context is a strong asset.
- Understanding of Ethiopia’s agriculture sector, with a broad perspective on how the entire system operates and how public, private, and informal actors operate within the system.
- Excellent ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints.
- Excellent ability to build relationships with people, and teamwork.
- Excellent adaptive problem-solver in challenging environment.
- Proficiency in oral and written English and in Amharic.
- Sensitivity to gender and environmental issues.

Position 4: Administrative and Finance Manager – FARM project
Job Requirements
- MSc or above in Accounting, Finance, Management Control, Audit, or equivalent.
- Have at least 8 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong Communication skills (writing, speaking, composing, presenting, etc).
- Solid overall computer literacy: Knowledge of office software (text and spreadsheets), business software and email/internet.
- Familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.
- Rigour, autonomy and integrity, and ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Mastery of financial management/monitoring software.
- Knowledge of EU co-financing procedures/rules is a strong asset.
- Have a team spirit and a constructive attitude.
- Be proactive and quick to optimize work.
- Good sense of work organization and respect of deadlines.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Fluency in oral & written communication in Amharic and English.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills with a highly collaborative working style.

Position 5: Senior Project Officer II – Environmental and Social Specialist
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sociology, and development studies
- At least 8 years of professional experience on E&S aspects
- Experience in coordinating Environmental and Social risk management according to the World bank Environmental and Social Framework (ESF 2018) and World bank Environmental Health and Safety standards (EHS).
- Good experience in planning and implementation of E&S activities
- Experiences on managing gender aspect and especially Gender Action Plan would be an assets
- Excellent stakeholder management skills including thorough knowledge and understanding of various regional level and federal level institutions; extensive experience in facilitating dialogue with relevant public and private stakeholders
- Excellent oral & written communication skills with highly collaborative working style.
- Experience in working with multi-cultural teams preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Strong set of personal values including integrity, honesty, and desire to be of service.
- Passion and skill in networking, partnership, collaboration, and alliance building
- Creative thinker, self-starter, and a self-motivated person.
- Ability and willingness to shoulder responsibilities under hectic conditions (in terms of overlapping assignments that may happen occasionally).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, with an emphasis on high performance, teamwork, accountability, and results.
- Demonstrable track record in program and systems design and implementation
- Experiences with international donors would be an assets
- Fluency in oral and written Communication in English & Amharic required.

Position 6: FARM Project Manager
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Science, Rural Development, project management and Natural Resource Management.
- AT least 10-years relevant experience in implementing at least partly large-scale projects/programs at the regional or national level. Of which five (5) years’ leadership experience in leading the implementation of development-oriented projects/programs in international organizations.
- Experience leading multi-dimensional teams and complex work programs.
- Analytical skills, including livelihood and farming system analysis.
- Training or demonstrated experience of the agricultural economy.
- Knowledge of the Ethiopian economy with knowledge of the Northern Ethiopia context a very strong asset.
- Experience in crop and livestock value chains, particularly seed (formal and informal), support or management would be a strong asset.
- Experience in agroecology would be a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Ethiopia’s agricultural research system is an asset.
- Experience in Participatory Guarantee Scheme (PGS) establishment is an asset.
- Inclination towards participatory management (at team and beneficiary level), capacity to implement and experience of participatory planning methods.
- Desire of improving the lives of smallholder farmers.
- Leadership, autonomy and integrity.
- Strong capacity to facilitate team work.
- Conflict management capacity.
- Willingness to undertake frequent field visits.
