One of the major objectives of ECMA is to ensure the existence of a capital market environment in which securities can be issued and traded in an orderly, fair, efficient manner. ECMA, as a regulatory authority, grants licenses to any person to operate as a security exchange, derivative exchange, security depository and clearing company, capital market service provider, over-the-counter trading facility or any other activity deemed by ECMA as a regulated activity under its jurisdiction. ECMA regulates and oversees trading in primary and secondary markets of securities, the use of electronic trading platforms that deal with securities and gives recognition and oversees the activities of self-regulatory organizations.
Ethiopian Capital Market Authority would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Senior Security Registration & Reporting Officer
Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for managing security-related registration processes and reporting activities; focuses on ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency in security-related transactions and disclosures.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the registration process for securities offered in the capital markets, including stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments
- Review security registration applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ensure that securities being registered meet regulatory standards, disclosure obligations, and relevant legal frameworks
- Maintain well-organized records of security registration applications, approvals, and supporting documentation
- Interact with issuers and market participants to facilitate the security registration process, address inquiries, and provide updates
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on registered securities, disclosures, and other relevant information for regulatory oversight
- Collaborate with internal teams, legal advisors, issuers, and regulatory authorities to facilitate security registration and reporting
- Ensure that issuers adhere to disclosure requirements, providing investors with accurate and transparent information
- Conduct due diligence on securities to verify their legitimacy, integrity, and alignment with market regulations
- Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant security registration and reporting
- Manage timelines for processing security registration applications, disclosures, and regulatory reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance security registration processes, improving efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor ongoing compliance of registered securities with regulatory standards, taking corrective actions when necessary
- Assess potential risks related to security registration and reporting, implementing measures to mitigate them
Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or above in Economics, Management, Accounting and Finance, Banking & Finance, Business Administration or a field related to the Job function from an Accredited or recognized learning institution.
Work Experience:
Four (4) years of experience preferably in receiving, reviewing, and processing applications and data, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, due diligence, documentation management, financial report preparation and risk assessment in financial institutions or other organizations engaging on such assignments.

Position 2: IT Officer
Job Summary
The job holder is responsible for managing and ensuring the effective delivery of IT services to meet the organization’s needs and support its operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide user support on IT infrastructure, hardware and application troubleshooting
- Oversee the handling of incidents and service disruptions, ensuring prompt resolution; Lead efforts to identify root causes of recurring problems and implement long-term solutions
- ensuring efficient response and resolution of user issues; Monitor ticket queues, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely and effective support
- Continously identify opportunities to enhance IT services and processes; Collaborate with relevant teams to implement service improvement initiatives
- Prepare and distribute service performance reports to management and stakeholders; Communicate service updates, outages, and improvements to users effectively
- Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a positive user experience
- Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess service delivery effectiveness; Use metrics to drive improvements and ensure consistent service quality
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues reported by users, such as computer crashes, connectivity problems, and hardware failures
- Install, configure, and set up new hardware equipment for users.
- Coordinate with software vendors and third-party support providers to resolve issues and implement updates
- Provide training and assistance to users on how to effectively use software applications
- Provide technical support to end-users for various software applications, addressing inquiries, issues, and troubleshooting requests
Academic Qualifications:
