Position 1: Training and Certification Senior Analyst
JOB SUMMERY
The role holder is a highly motivated and experienced Training and Certification professional with a team player attitude. The ideal personnel will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs and certification initiatives for market participants and internal team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development:
Identifying training needs and creating curriculum content that is suited to the requirements of different market participants, such as brokers, traders, and investment professionals, by working together with internal stakeholders, such as regulatory affairs, compliance, and market operations teams.
Create and implement certification programs and training initiatives.
To produce interesting and useful training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, case studies, and evaluations, use adult learning techniques and instructional design concepts internally and externally.
Training Delivery:
Develop marketing and training materials together with internal teams aligned to the need assessments
Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions utilizing a variety of instructional/ teaching techniques and delivery methods.
Assessment and Improvement:
Put in place systems to gauge how well training initiatives are working, such as, knowledge tests, certification programs, pass rates, revenue and participant feedback questionnaires.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements as necessary.
Work on creating a self-sufficient program
Regulatory Compliance:
Remain up to date on modifications to industry standards, market regulations around qualifications and capacity building prgorams and regulatory frameworks pertaining to securities trading and market operations.
Make sure that training courses comply with legal mandates, including those issued particularly by the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA) and other relevant authorities of the exchange.
Stay updated on regulatory changes, market trends, and emerging technologies relevant to the financial services industry, incorporating new developments into training materials and curriculum.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the main point of contact for internal and external parties looking for advice on issues pertaining to certification and training.
Work together with trade associations, authorities in charge of regulations, and academic establishments to advance best practices and information exchange within the financial services sector.
Serve as a subject matter expert on training and certification-related matters, representing the company at industry conferences, forums, and working groups.
Relationships:
Internal
Report to Chief Business Development officer
Works closely with Chief operation office for program developments
External
Works closely with the Licensing and supervision department of ECMA and other relevant regulatory bodies like Ministry of Education
Local and international professional bodies
Academic institutions and training institutions
JOB REQUIREMENT
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on training, education, or certification programs.
Strong understanding of securities markets, trading operations, and regulatory requirements
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Proven track record of developing and delivering effective training programs, with proficiency in instructional design and adult learning principles.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and learning management systems (LMS); experience with e-learning authoring tools is a plus.
Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and continuous learning.
Worked with an international professional body (would be a bonus)
