Ethiopian Skylight Hotel would like to invite qualified and interested job seekers to apply for the following vacant position.

Position 1: Security Officer

Education & Experience: A Minimum of 12th/10th grade Complete per the old /new curriculum with a minimum of three years experience from known organization as security officer, police, military services areas.

N.B.: Age limit: 18 – 35 years old.

Please bring/attach your 8th grade or Birth certificate, supporting document and 1 photo when you come to apply

Position 2: Manager Revenue Management

Education & Experience:

A Minimum of BA Degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality / Management / Business Management / Business Administration / Economics / Marketing or any other business related fields with 9 years relevant experience out of which three years in supervisor or equivalent capacity

                                        OR

MA Degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality / Management / Business Management / Business Administration / Economics / Marketing or any other business related fields with 7 years of relevant experience out of which three years in supervisor or equivalent capacity

Essential Competencies: It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

PMS/Opera, STR, Syinx/Hotel Rez Portal, Review-Pro, OTA-Insight, Expedia, Booking.com, and C.Trip Systems.

  • Proficient oral and written English communication skills.
  • Good communication skills and committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Strongly committed to teamwork and customer service
  • A high level of organization, constant follow through, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and self-motivation in working independently toward team goals.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to unexpected tasks and challenges.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and lead a team.

Position 3: Manager Marketing & Communication

Education & Experience:

BA Degree in Business related field of studies with a minimum of 9 years relevant work experience in hospitality sales & Marketing, Marketing and Public Relations, or account management out of which minimum of five years in managerial or equivalent capacity.

OR

MA Degree in Business related field of studies with a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in hospitality sales & Marketing or account management out of which minimum of three years in managerial or equivalent capacity.

N.B: The Experience must be with an international hotel chain.

Essential Competencies: It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Possess creative writing skills and strong knowledge of advertising media planning
  • passion for Marketing & Communication
  • Able to engage in a friendly and professional manner with business partners and customers
  • Marketing Skill: Able to develop and implement action plans for increased product awareness and sales
  • Analytical Skill: Able to conduct research to identify and adjust to developments/trends in a target market
  • Leadership Quality: Able to direct and coordinate the operations of Marketing & Communication unit to achieve set objectives.
  • Has a high level of organization, constant follow through, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Effective time management and self-motivation in working independently toward team

Position 4: Team Leader Training & Development

Education & Experience:

A Minimum of BA Degree in  Management/ Personnel Management/HR Management/Business Management/Accounting any business related field of study from a recognized college/university with a minimum of  6 years  Hotel/relevant  experience

                             OR

MA Degree in  Management/ Personnel Management/HR Management/Business Management/Accounting any business related field of study from a recognized college/university with a minimum of  4 years  Hotel/relevant  experience.

Position 5: Team Leader Personnel

Education & Experience:

A Minimum of BA Degree in  Management/ Personnel Management/HR Management/Business Management/Accounting any business related field of study from a recognized college/university with a minimum of  6 years  Hotel/relevant  experience

                             OR

MA Degree in  Management/ Personnel Management/HR Management/Business Management/Accounting any business related field of study from a recognized college/university with a minimum of  4 years  Hotel/relevant  experience.

Position 6: Supervisor Security

Education & Experience:

BA/BSc Degree in any fields of studies from a recognized  TVET/College  / university with  a minimum of  6 years relevant experience   

                         OR

A Minimum of College Diploma/ 10+3/Level III Certificate in any fields of studies from a recognized  TVET/College  / university with  a minimum of  8 years relevant experience.

Position 7: Director Business Development

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

BA Degree in Business related field of studies with a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in hospitality sales & Marketing or account management out of which minimum of five years in managerial or equivalent capacity.

OR

MA Degree in Business related field of studies with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience in hospitality sales & Marketing or account management out of which minimum of three years in managerial or equivalent capacity.

N.B.: The Experience must be with an international hotel chain.
