Since its establishment, the organization has been implementing various projects in Oromia, SNNP, and Somali regional states, Benishangul Gumuz region and in Addis Ababa City Administration as well as. Currently FIDO is also implementing projects under the emergency and relief department.
Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO) would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Nutrition Officer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support nutrition project activity planning for implantation together with the project partners and project team in consultations with Project Manager and Nutrition Advisor.
- Support implementation of nutrition and Gender capacity building / ToT and trainings in the project area in liaison with the Gender and Nutrition Advisor and Project Manager
- Day-to-day activities will include capacity building of health extension workers and mother to mother support groups with nutrition / IYCF-E/ consultation and maternal health / nutrition in particular
- Establish and facilitate training to beneficiary at community and health facilities / institutions
- Facilitate and assist the timely submission of regular reports (monthly, interim and final) or special reports as deemed necessary.
Reporting:
Report on progress and any problems in a timely manner.
Duration: 1 Year

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Health Science, community nutrition and dietetics or related fields
- At least 3 years’ experience in practice on nutrition and gender mainstreaming
- Experience working collaboratively in a team structure in a multicultural environment is desirable
- Experience working in hardship areas and emergency nutrition project added advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English
- Ability to maintain high standards of personal integrity; establishing straightforward, productive relationships; treating all individuals with fairness and respect, demonstrating sensitivity for ethnic, cultural and gender differences
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Email and utilization of the internet

Position 2: WASH Officer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with responsible stakeholders and committee target beneficiaries (IDPs) to identify hygiene promoters for hygiene and sanitation promotion according given criteria.
- Facilitating Training for Hygiene promoters on basics of hygiene and sanitation promotion/education, hygiene promotion/education.
- In coordination with the WASH specialist, undertake/take part in quantitative/qualitative assessments to identify key risky hygiene behaviors to work on and to capture key achievements with-in the framework of project,
- Ensure implementation of hygiene promotion activities as per planned approaches/methods through use of hygiene promoters.
- Work with WASH specialist on properly distribution and positioning of culturally appropriate IEC materials, and monitoring tools and ensure proper use of the same
- Undertake Verification of properly beneficiaries by cooperating with Hygiene promoter, IDP’s committees and government stake holders for NFI (Body soap, laundry and water treatment Chemical at house hold).
Reporting:
Drafting and submitting update reports on various WASH activities as required by the Project Coordinator

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health/Environmental Health/Water Engineering
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Diploma Holders in Public Health/Community Health Development/Environmental Health/Water Engineering with 4 years of work experience in a humanitarian context will also be considered for the position.
- Ability to work in multicultural setting and with minimum supervision is desirable.
- Community mobilization and sensitization skills.
- Demonstrable skills and experience in utilization of data analysis and management software.
- Good report writing and communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft office
- Written and oral proficiency in English, proficiency in the local language is a plus.

Position 3: Protection Officer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop Community-based outreach programs to promote awareness of appropriate coping strategies in response to psychosocial issues identified
- Safely identify and mobilize community members to participate in activities at the community center;
- Ensure safety of training areas to provide community-based PSS and identify and train community focal points and Community Based Group (CBG) members to deliver GBV PSS.
- Raise awareness about the activities in the community center with the community including with community leaders and focal points;
- Assist the community volunteers (CVs) in the identification of beneficiaries in need of counseling and ensure individual or group support for identified beneficiaries
- Promote the use of community-based approaches, including clear involvement of IDPs in PSS programs
- Provide coaching and mentoring to social workers and community volunteers
Reporting:
- Participate in activity reporting and lesson learning.
- Participate in the preparation of accurate reports for all Psycho-social related activities
- Ensure the proper and secure documentation of data collected (hard and soft copies) during CB PSS (attendance sheets, permission slips, parental consent, referrals, etc.)
- Participate in the preparation of accurate reports for all Psycho-social related activities
- Collect monthly data and prepare narrative reports to provide updates of the project indicators submit to Protection specialist.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ direct experience on PSS and GBV related case managements preferably in NGO environment
- Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings
- Excellent knowledge of basic concepts of GBV, safe identification and referral principles.
- Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English proficiency with the local language is a plus
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work effectively with others within a multicultural team context.

Position 4: OTP Nurse
Role and Responsibilities:
- Respect the dignity of beneficiaries, careers & community members at all levels.
- Plan and implement OTP/SC activities as outlined in the protocol to achieve objectives of the project.
- Throughout the project implementation, work with and ensure transfer of capacity to HEWs and HWs, COA’s in each health posts and SCs of target woredas.
- Ensure that the HEWs and HWs provide quality SAM case management services to children under five year in accordance with the MoH and SPHERE standards.
- Train and support the HEWs in severe acute malnutrition case management and follow-up (e.g., referral to SC and TSFP) according to national/international guidelines.
- Support community-based volunteers (FDAs) for the implementation of the community component of the project (OTP/SC).
- Ensure each and every admitted child receives adequate and quality medical and nutritional care through existing resources.
- Ensure the health post is always and at all times adequately equipped and supplied with the necessary nutritional and medical requirements.
- Assist HEWs and HWs in the planning and promotion of awareness creation on health and nutrition key messages dissemination in the community.
- Participate in the organization and delivery of nutritional trainings for health worker and HEWs in the Woreda.
Reporting:
Organize quality registration, recording and documentation of patient-related data in the OTP and SC according to national protocol thereby ensuring accurate data collection and reporting to woreda health office and FIDO project office according to approved formats.

- BSC/Diploma in Nursing, Nutritionist or Public Health
- Minimum two years working experience for Degree and four years’ experience for Diploma holders out of which two year experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition related fields Knowledge, training and experience in CMAM and community mobilization/BCC
- Knowledge and experience in management of moderately malnourished children and PLWs
- Knowledge on IDP context is preferred.

Position 5: TSFP Nurse
Role and Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize tsfp at the designated distribution sites in liaison with nutrition officer
- Prepare plan of action for effective tsfp implementation in consultation with the nutrition officer.
- Ensure that the measurers/registers and fdas provide quality screening, sf distribution to children 6-59 months in accordance with the moh and sphere standards.
- Work closely with health extension workers (hew) to ensure all children are measured correctly.
- Train and support the measurers/registers and fdas in severe acute malnutrition case management and referral to otp according to national/international guidelines.
- Ensure adequate availability of all medical and food supplies and ensure stock is pre-positioned as planned by discussing with logistics.
- Work closely with otp/sc nurse to ensure all aspects of the program are understood and agreed and appropriate referrals take place to and from the otp.
- Provide health counseling on key health and education messages to beneficiaries based the acceptable protocol and guidelines.
Reporting: Report on progress and any problems in a timely manner.

Position 6: Psychologist
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Applies ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of psychosocial services and observes relevant laws and policies that govern practice.
- Participates in professional organizations and continually seeks to improve professional knowledge and skill.
- To provide support, guidance, interpretation and knowledge to caregivers and families to develop behavior management and care plan strategies.
- Provide training for the various team members in relation to their activities and needs, to improve understanding and the implementation of basic Psychosocial supports and care practices;
- Make use of the appetite test to observe and encourage the mother/children bond;
- Provide as much help as possible to any parent/guardian whose child experiences difficulties during the appetite test.
- Carry out home visits/follow-ups, counselling sessions, and group discussions to these families to try to understand the situation which may explain the child’s malnutrition, stagnation in development or worsening condition and help the family resolve any problems (work on the mental health of the children/caregivers, mother/child relationship, person taking care of the child in the home, etc.)
- Lead supervision sessions for the MtMSG to identify and manage those families requiring specific monitoring and supervise this activity once the team has received sufficient training.
Reporting:
- Integrate, along with the Protection Information Management Assistant inter-agency efforts aiming to ensure safe and ethical collection, storage, analysis and sharing of reported GBV incident data, using the GBV information Management System (GBVIMS).
- Ensure a daily quantitative and qualitative reporting through specific reporting tools (Assessment Form, Psychological follow up form, etc.) and provide timely report to Protection specialist.
- Participate to the reporting of activities and evolution of the beneficiaries’ psychosocial situation.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Degree in Psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology (BA minimum, MA or MSc is an advantage)
- Relevant training and/or work experience in field of Mental Health and Care Practices, Psychosocial support, counseling and communication skills, familiarity with psychosocial stimulation/awareness methods, knowledge in child development, knowledge of psychology, mental health, and psychological therapies relevant to this specialism and nutrition issues.

Position 7: MEAL Officer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handles the design and development of the MEAL system and ensures that it is utilized across all the implementation sites. In addition to that s/he should make sure that M&E is an integral component in all objectives areas.
- Lead in the development and implementation of the project’s DQM and RDQA plan to ensure data quality at implementation sites. This includes the development of Standard Operating Procedures, establishment, and maintenance of RDQA files as well as organizing internal RDQA.
- Assist the presentation, delivery, and documentation of research or key learning materials to key stakeholders involved.
- Effective contributor to proposal development, review and improve MEAL technical narrative and budgets within proposals, support development of SMART indicators with technical teams, ensure quality mechanisms are in place, and ensure consistency with the organization and MEAL strategies
- Ensure that regularly updated MEAL mechanisms are in place for the project including
- Facilitate compilation of regular monitoring reports prepared by different Project staff along with evaluation recommendations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- University degree in MEAL, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences or related discipline, training, and knowledge on MEL discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience within the NGO field.
- At least 3 years of working experience in Coordinating integrated program and monitoring and Evaluation
- Demonstrated experience translating log frames and results frameworks into monitoring plans, developing data collection tools and protocols, leading data collection and management process, designing and managing databases, and analyzing data.
- Proven technical skills in monitoring and evaluation and experience with both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis and USAID funded project experience is an asset
- Skills in developing MEL plans, data collection tools, indicators development, data quality management, and survey/assessment undertakings.
- Ability to analyze MEAL technical issues, to write clear and concise reports and to make effective oral presentations.
- Computer literacy in basic Microsoft applications, database, and statistical software.
- Ability to undertake frequent field travels to project areas on a regular basis
- Demonstrated analytical and report writing skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
