Position 1: Project Coordinator
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Duration of Contract: One year contract (Renewable with 60 days probation period)
Closing date: July 12, 2023
Job Summary
The Project Coordinator is responsible to coordinate building government capacity for conservation agriculture in four zones of Oromia Region (West Shewa, East Wollega, Jimma and Illuababor zones). He/she will contribute towards the project objective, which is “increased household income as the result of conservation agriculture adoption and practicing through building capacity of agriculture experts in the project target areas”. The position holder reports hierarchically to Climate Resilient Manager and does not have any supervisory role rather he/she will provide technical support to the conservation agriculture master trainers in the project target areas.

- Training in conservation agriculture program management focusing on livelihood improvement of farmers is an advantage.
- Reasonable experience working on coordinating conservation agriculture training, facilitating and implementation of conservation agriculture projects.
- Experience on facilitation of training is also advantageous.
- Project management and sound experience in monitoring and evaluation is required.
- Strong people management skills / interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, teach and mentor staff and volunteers.
- Comfortable and persuasive when speaking before both large and small groups.
- Ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization and across organizational and cultural boundaries.
- High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
- Demonstrated computer operating skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Work Experience
- 5 years’ experience in relevant field preferably in similar NGO setting
- Proven experience in conservation agriculture related programs in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Education/Certifications
- BSc degree in agriculture, development studies, or other relevant qualification
Distinguishing Competencies
- Strong computer skills and knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- Training in conservation agriculture programming,
- Sound experience in project management monitoring and evaluation is required.
- Experience in livelihood and gender development is a plus.
- Experience in financial management, journal preparation and cash flow management.
Language
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, Amharic and Afan Oromo. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Position 2: Regional Early Warning Coordinator
Duty Station: Mekelle
Duration of Contract: One-year contract, renewable (with 60 working days of Probation)
Closing date: June 17, 2023
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Early Warning activities planned in the APT as per the expected standards and timely reporting, sharing and documentation of the reports and data. Ensure that the People we serve are properly targeted as per the standards and the new initiatives are implemented. Represent FH at Regional level and participate in various meetings and submit updates to the FH head office.

Supervisory Responsibility
- The position has supervisory technical responsibility over the early warning team across the region.
Language

- Visiting project Offices and operational areas periodically to meet staff and making sure that all staff members are aware of the safety and security procedures;
- Explains to staffs the reasoning behind the organization’s safety and security policies and procedures
- Organizing local training sessions, such as First Aid, Fire Safety, and Defensive Driving for staff members. If possible, he/she should conduct briefing and training sessions himself/herself;
- Ensures that safety and security objectives are added to performance reviews and evaluations of all staff members;
- Encourages staff to adopt safe and secure practices. Ensuring that updated personnel information related to safety (Record of Emergency Data) and security management are kept in Human resources.
Gender Responsibility
- Provide adequate time to staff to participate in gender sensitivity workshops and related events.
- Through observation, interviews, and spot-checks, ensure that the staff planning process is gender sensitive.
- Build a better gender balance in staffing through affirmative action.
- Observe if women staff are as involved as men in high-profile activities such as interaction with visitors and chairing meetings, and take corrective action if warranted.
- Encourage female staff to participate in external networks (local and regional), as well as seminars and cross visits.
- Facilitate open and regular discussions with staff on about the work environment, policies, and values convenient to gender issues.
Position 3: Commodity Tracking System – CTS Coordinator
Duty Station: Addis Ababa
Duration of Contract: One-year contract, renewable (with 60 working days of Probation)
Closing date: June 17, 2023
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Commodity/ CTS Coordinator is responsible to coordinate the overall food aid resources from the moment received from PDP to respective FDPs and support as needed on food resources within the RHA department. He/she follows up the allocated commodities against FDP level breakdown, communicates the commodity breakdown and approved purchase order with the dispatchers. He/she ensures that each FDPS has adequate warehouse capacities before the commodity dispatch operation starts. Moreover, track each commodity movements at PDP and FDP level and report in a timely manner. The commodity/CTS Coordinator is also responsible for generating a monthly report Global Commodity Status Report (CSR), Recipient Status Report (RSR) and Commodity Loss Status Report (CLSR) and Quarterly Reports using the standard tool. He /She is responsible to follow up the local procurement of commodities and mobilize timely transportation of the commodities to the final distribution points.

Position 4: Area Program Manager 1 – (AP Manager)
Duty Station: Nader Woreda
Duration of Contract: One-year contract, renewable (with 60 working days of Probation)

POSITION SUMMARY:
he Area Program Manager-I is responsible to prepare the budget plan as per the annual planning tool based on the approved PREP budget received from CRS. He/She is also responsible to prepare smart sheets based on the APT and implement program activities in collaboration with the government stakeholders. He/She is also responsible for creating a smooth environment for a sound relationship with concerned government stakeholders and with FHE staff at area program and regional office level.
