FH Ethiopia would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Cashier/Storekeeper (Maternity Cover)
Basic Responsibilities:
- Maintains and safeguards cash and fuel coupons.
- Issues official receipts for all collections.
- Deposits daily cash collections intact into bank the next working day.
- Records daily cash collections and payments and balances daily with cash on hand.
- Maintains fuel coupon register and balances daily with coupons on hand.
- Prepares checks for all authorized payments.
- Processes bank transfer and exchange of checks.
- Prepares daily bank accounts and cash balances.
- Performs any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Checks the quantity, specifications and appropriateness of incoming items before receiving;
- Receives and issue properties in accordance with the rules and regulation of the organization;
- Stores incoming items in a proper way;
- Issues outgoing items from the store as per the relevant guideline;
- Controls bin cards and stock cards and makes the balance;
- Ensures that the store is always tidy;
- Follows up items to be stocked out and reports to the immediate supervisor;
- Prepares periodic reports;
Job Requirements
Academic qualification / Work experience- Minimum Diploma in Accounting with two Years’ experience preferably in a similar organization.
Essential Competencies:
- Computer literate
- Proficiency in English and basic knowledge of the local language

Position 2: Procurement and Logistics Officer
Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain daily vehicle movement schedule and records and assign vehicles (including motorcycles) as needed providing daily movement schedule by the close of business the previous day.
- Prepare and implement a comprehensive purchase plan taking into account strict meet to deadlines, priorities, and availability of financial
- Receive Purchase requisition from the projects for further processing, and make sure the PR authorized by the appropriate authority;
- Establish and maintain purchase and logistics systems and processes, which ensure effective program delivery.
- Collects Performa invoices in sealed envelope upon receiving purchase requisitions;
- Prepare bids documents according to the detail specification;
- Facilitate transportation and accommodation arrangements for staff for field visits as per the request submitted. Provide a coordinated and cost effective transportation service for all requests received from each department to facilitate program implementation and other office activities.
- Make sure standard procedures are followed while sourcing training related materials, training venues, catering services among others that are needed for implementing the program activities
- Responsible for safekeeping the hard copies and soft copies of fleet management forms, store documents, distribution reports, and other pertinent documents relating to logistics and material management.
- Keep up-to-date records for each and every movement of vehicles
- Undertake a follow-up on periodical vehicle repair and regular preventive maintenance that also includes planning for maintenance schedule and maintenance records to ensure that vehicles are technically fit to provide the intended services,
- Work with Mechanics to organize routine maintenance schedule for all vehicles and ensure that regularly used parts and tools are in stock.
- Conduct training and daily vehicle inspections along with drivers and mechanics; monitoring use of vehicles through log books
- Reconcile fuel usage with the actual KM traveled and facilitate for fuel replenishment,
- Produce a report on the fleet of rental vehicles on a monthly basis and facilitate the timely settlement of rental fee. Ensure that rental vehicles deployed for FHE operation are technically fit, and facilitate for the yearly vehicle technical inspection
- Work with government and insurance companies to ensure proper documentation and annual insurance cover & inspection is provided for all vehicles that also includes the timely settlement of insurance claims as required. Handle air ticket booking and reservation of room for FHE staff/guest, and facilitate for the timely settlement of airfare fees and hotel bills
- Ensure that all drivers are properly licensed and that all vehicles have maintenance tools and other related equipment’s to run the vehicle properly.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned to him/her by the immediate supervisor.
Education/Certifications:
BA Management/Logistics/ purchasing and related discipline
Work Experience:
- At least three (3) years of experiences relevant to the post
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Distinguishing Competencies:
Coaching, initiating action, communicating with impact, innovation, planning and organizing, building partnership, facilitating change, adaptability.
Language:
Good verbal and written communication skills in English, working area language (Amharic)

Position 3: Finance and Admin Officer
Gender Responsibility:
- Provide adequate time to staff to participate in gender sensitivity workshops and related events.
- Through observation, interviews, and spot-checks, ensure that the staff planning process is gender sensitive.
- Build a better gender balance in staffing through affirmative action.
- Observe if women staff are as involved as men in high-profile activities such as interaction with visitors and chairing meetings, and take corrective action if warranted.
- Encourage female staff to participate in external networks (local and regional), as well as seminars and cross visits.
- Facilitate open and regular discussions with staff on about the work environment, policies, and values convenient to gender issues.
Safety & Security Responsibility:
- Encourages compliance of Safety and Security principles and policies of the organization by all staffs;
- Visiting project offices and operational areas periodically to meet staff and making sure that all staff members are aware of the safety and security procedures;
- Explains to staffs the reasoning behind the organization’s safety and security policies and procedures
- Organizing local training sessions, such as First Aid, Fire Safety, and Defensive Driving for staff members. If possible, he/she should conduct briefing and training sessions himself/herself;
- Ensures that safety and security objectives are added to performance reviews and evaluations of all staff members;
- Encourages staffs to adopt safe and secure practices. Ensuring that updated personnel information related to safety (Record of Emergency Data) and security management are kept in Human resources.

Education and Experience:
B. A Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in an NGO Setting.

- Proficiency in English and basic knowledge of the local language
