FRI-EL Ethiopia Farming and Processing PLC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Internal Auditor

Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts financial or material audits according to the audit program and assignment.
  • Visits farming & processing units to inspect the proper implementation of the Company’s financial and management policy, accounting manual, purchase procedures, and proper handling of other activities of the Branch and reports findings;
  • Collects all required data from the financial source documents.
  • Cross-refers the collected data against the corresponding source document with the auditees and accepts confirmation.
  • Checks that payments are properly authorized, signed, and correctly paid.
  • Records and follow-up discrepancy findings.
  • Checks payroll and verifies that all deductions from staff salaries are paid out on time.
  • Follow-up rectifications of discrepancies reported.
  • Checks the proper recording of the company’s property.
  • Checks that systems and procedures laid down in manuals, circulars, memorandum, etc. are strictly adhered.
  • Checks utilization of the property of the Company and reports any irregularities that run contrary to the laid down policy and procedure.
  • Vouches for financial source documents against their corresponding sources.
  • Vouchers all summarized accounts against their respective source document for accuracy and reliability. Prepares audit reports and certificates.
  • Assists in the preparation of the audit & inspection program.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification.

Work Experience: – Minimum of 4/6 years of experience internal auditing

Skills and Competences

  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven experience working in joint venture environments and understanding the complexities associated with such collaborations. ·
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Position 2: Materials Management Division Head

Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises the activities of receiving, storing, and controlling the issue materials and supplies;
  • Directs and supervises the systematic arrangement, shelving, and location of materials
  • Directs and checks the proper and up-to-date recording and balancing of stocks.
  • Directs and supervises the physical inventory following established schedules and also conducts surprise or spot-checking inspections.
  • Prepares annual material requirements of the Branch Office using material management techniques and formulas.
  • Directs the establishment of minimum-maximum stock levels; supervises the proper recording of all receipts and issues on stock cards and ensures the maintenance of exact, up-to-date information on stock balances.
  • Ensures the proper receiving, storage, issuance, and delivery operations of stores and also the provision of adequate storage facilities, security, safety, and fire or accident prevention.
  • Passes purchase requisitions to the procurement unit on time with exact economic order quantities, specifications, and other necessary information on those items whose stock balances have reached reorder levels
  • Checks stock conditions, and classifies and reports stocks, which are fast-moving, medium moving and slow-moving.
  • Monitors the flow of materials, store handling methods, store layout, and store yards are properly managed.
  • Ensures and follows up that the receiving, recording, and issuing practices comply with established procedures and methods of operation.
  • Ensures and follows up on the proper provision of identification and coding of items.
  • Ensures that annual inventory of materials in stores is taken and submitted to the Division.
  • Guides the correct and safe storage of stock items.
  • Ensures that materials and products are adequately protected against fire, theft, temperature, humidity, excessive aging, and other damages.
  • Compiles and submits stock status report according to standing instructions and whenever requested
  • Ensures that the receiving and issuing records are timely distributed to concerned functional units

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supplies Management / Economics / Accounting / Management

Work Experience: – 8 (eight) years of experience out of which three years in a supervisory position

Skills and Competences:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, anticipate issues, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain precise inventory records and analyze complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of supply chain logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

Position 3: Drone Operator

Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform drone spraying of fertilizers on crops by established procedures and guidelines
  • Strong knowledge of drone technology.
  • Understanding local drone laws.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeeping of drones on a daily basis.
  • Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks to prevent accidents and minimize risks.
  • Keep drone batteries charged at all times to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Follow instructions from the supervisor and/or Manager regarding flight plans and operational protocols.
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while operating drones and spraying fertilizer.
  • Safely transport drones within a range of 25 to 50 kilometers daily.
  • Gather necessary information and data as required for agricultural operations.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, and related fields (Aviation, Physical Science, Computer Science, or Engineering)

Work Experience: – Minimum of 2 up to 5 year experience

Job Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, and competence required for the position

  • Must be willing to be certified as a drone pilot by the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with the creative team, with proficiency in Amharic and English.
  • Preferably to have experience in agricultural drone spraying services.
  • Familiarity with agricultural operations, crop protection, and mapping for effective communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols and checklists.
  • Ability to ride a bike and transport drone equipment safely.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of weather patterns and forecasts.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing work environments and hard weather conditions.
