Established by 11 visionary founders—including seasoned bankers, investors, and academicians—the bank was founded to tackle Ethiopia’s pressing housing issues, such as a significant housing deficit, escalating construction costs, persistent inflation, and limited housing financing options.
At its launch, Goh Betoch Bank was backed by 6,657 shareholders, boasting a subscribed capital of Birr 1,056 million and a paid-up capital of Birr 521.5 million. The National Bank of Ethiopia officially licensed the bank on July 28, 2021.
The bank’s core mission is to deliver long-term housing finance solutions, supporting property purchases, construction, expansion, and renovation projects. Goh Betoch Bank aims to serve diverse income groups, including lower, middle, and high-income individuals, with the goal of making homeownership more accessible throughout Ethiopia. Furthermore, the bank is dedicated to increasing affordable housing availability, ensuring low- and middle-income groups can access both rental and ownership opportunities.

Position 1: Senior Information System Security Officer
Job Requirement
Educational Level and work Experience:Minimum of BSC Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science with 4 years’ experience in information technology security area.
*Certification in ethical hacking and related area is advantageous.
Location: Head Office
Position 2: Telephone Operator
Job Requirement
Educational Level and work Experience:12th / 10th grade complete with 2 years relevant work experience.
*PBX Certificate holder is preferable.

Position 3: Junior Information System Security Officer
Job Requirement
Educational Level and work Experience: Minimum of BSC Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science with 2 years’ experience in information technology security area.

Position 4: Customer Service Officer III
Job Requirement
Educational Level and work Experience:Minimum of BA Degree in Management or Economics or Accounting & Finance or Marketing or Banking & Finance, Business Administration and any business related field of study with 3 years of related work experience in Banking operations.
Location: Addis Ababa Branches
Position 5: Branch Manager
Job Requirement
Educational Level and work Experience:Minimum of BA Degree in Management or Economics or Accounting & Finance or Marketing or Banking & Finance, Business Administration and any business related field of study with 6 years’ work experience in banking operations out of which 2 years in supervision position.
Location: Adama Branch
