Position 1: Raw Material Specialist
The Role Summary:
The raw material specialist enforces, maintains, and monitors the quality of incoming materials. Under the supervision of Process technologist brewing, raw material specialist oversees following packaging trials, setting standards for incoming raw materials, approving new raw materials, auditing suppliers, handling complains arising from production and suppliers, developing new suppliers, and following mandatory certifications and controlling them.
Result Areas and Responsibilities:
Raw material and packaging materials management
- Develop and maintain incoming materials quality checking systems.
- Perform incoming material quality check and prepare report.
- Ensuring that incoming materials meet set requirements and specifications.
- Managing material storage in warehouse using proper labeling and segregation of items batch wise.
- Review certificate of compliance or certificate of analysis.
Develop raw materials, chemicals, and packaging materials quality standards.
- Develop raw materials and chemicals standards align with Ethiopian and international standards.
- Develop specific packaging material quality standards align with Ethiopian and international standards.
- Ensuring raw materials and packaging material ingredients has no effect on the environment.
Evaluate the suitability of new packaging material.
- Running trials to check packaging for suitability and testing for performance under various conditions.
- Evaluating, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers.
- Identifying and choosing products from suppliers.
- Coordinate and perform physical, chemical, and biological testing and inspection of the product and/or packaging and ingredients.
Handling material related customer complaints Daily sales report
- Receive and properly record the compliant detail.
- Analyze the issue and discuss with relevant parties to find a solution for the problem.
- Prepare a corrective action plan and corrective action for the problem.
Job Requirements
The Person:
This role is positioned at a mid-level and requires 3 and above years of relevant experience in the brewing industry with an experience on FSMS.

Position 2: Business Analyst -Temporary
The Role Summary:
- Ensure financial reports are presented fairly and free from material misstatement.
- Identify potential risks of the business
- Design and apply ways of mitigating those risks.
- Assessing the effectiveness of internal controls applied to business in mitigating business risks.
- Safeguarding assets of the company.
- Perform reconciliations to identify financial risks and significantly reduce misstatements.
Result areas & responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate risk management and internal control frameworks are applied to assess financial risks, apply financial control frameworks to the business to mitigate those risks and minimize to an acceptable level.
- Ensure reconciliations are done every month-end close and validate that our records are complete and accurate with regard to inventories, customers, vendors, and fixed assets.
- Ensure goods in transit are followed up starting from purchase orders to goods landed at Habesha Breweries warehouses and make sure appropriate cost build-up is maintained and accounted for in SAP for imported items from overseas.
- Make sure account receivables and account payable balances show accurate and complete balances
- Recalculate interests and make sure it agrees with the bank statement, with confirmation from the group(group loan), and are accounted for properly in SAP.
- Ensure master data for the vendor, customer, GL, and Tax are in line with predefined guidelines, manuals, operating procedures, and tax laws.
- Make sure Habesha Breweries’ financial control frameworks are in place and implemented properly and consistently, these include, ensuring the approval process and other operational procedures.
Job Requirements
The Person:
This role is positioned at a mid-level and requires 3 and above years of relevant experience in the brewing industry with an experience on FSMS.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- BA degree in Accounting
- 3 years and above experience as an Accountant.
- Good knowledge of bank reconciliation.
- Excellent analysis skill
- Team player
- Good communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent excel skills
