Our company is looking for an eager young professional who aspires to work as a Cost Accountant. The role entails an extensive amount of learning experience exposure with various from Accounting and Finance. Graduates of 2023/2024 are highly recommended to apply for the role.
Horra Corporate would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position: Trainee Cost Accountant
Education Qualification: BA in Accounting & Finance or Accounting with a minimum CGPA 3.00.
Work Experience: No work experience is required.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to maintain good relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Takes initiative, adaptive, and willing to teach and learn from others.
Fluency in Amharic and English, written and verbal is highly required.

Job Description:
- Assist in prepare and analyze monthly cost of goods sold (CoGS), Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and Manufacturing variance journal entries.
- Assist in prepare and analyze the excess and obsolete inventory reserve and report to the management.
- Help in collection and analyzing data on material and labor costs to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in conducting analysis on sourcing costs of all the business and prepare a report for the management.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Analyze actual costs and prepare periodic report comparing standard costs to actual costs and recommend cost efficiencies.
- Compile cost information to be used in operating and budget preparation and expenditure controlling.
- Participate in making estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.
- Participate in providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products and services.
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses and make recommendations regarding the acquisition or sales of capital expenditures.
- Follow up the periodic and proper recording and updating of fixed asset register of the Company.
- Perform other duties when found necessary.

Duty Station: Horra Corporate Group Head Quarter, Addis Ababa
