Position 1: Gender-based Violence Programs Manager (Ethiopian National)
Job Summary:
The primary function of the GBV Program Manager is to oversee the implementation of all International Medical Corps Ethiopia GBV programs, ensuring that there is adequate staff capacity to deliver quality programming of projects throughout their cycles. The manager will also participate in coordination functions that enable the functioning of multi-sectoral mechanisms of delivery of services for GBV survivors in each context and setting.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- § Advanced degree in Gender studies, Social Work, Public Health, International Development or other relevant field of study preferred
- § Five years of progressive senior level GBV programing (management and coordination). International operations experience in different displacement contexts is a plus.
- § A broad understanding of GBV and contemporary GBV- related issues with experience in adapting internationally recognized tools to fit different contexts
- § Knowledgeable in the Revised 2015 IASC GBV Guidelines, with ability to facilitate trainings and support non-GBV specialized agencies in integrating GBV interventions in their humanitarian actions
- § Knowledgeable in GBVIMS and strong on protecting and promoting the information sharing protocol
- § Experience in emergencies and conflict areas strongly preferred
- § Relevant experience in refugee and IDP setting is strongly preferred
- § Familiarity with standards and guidelines for GBV programming and coordination as well as guidance on protection from SEA
- § Familiarity with approaches for community and individual psychosocial support
- § Familiarity with international humanitarian operations, coordination structures, and the mandates of donors, UN agencies, and other NGOs
- § Profound cross-cultural awareness
- § Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
- § Flexibility, and the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
- § Excellent decision making skills
- § Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- § Ability to work well with a team
- § Proficient in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel

Position 2: Field Finance officer
Job Purpose Summary:
The job holder for this post is required to work as team member of the Guji program office management team. Supervises the work of field finance department with regards to accounting methods, ensures internal financial controls are implemented, responsible for timely reporting to Country office on cash flow, payroll rosters, monthly financial reports and maintaining all financial records according to accounting standards and IMC practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business Management/Accounting with 4 years’ work experience in financial management and/or accounting.
- Active knowledge of English language writing and speaking
- Proficiency in Accounting software, MS Excel and MS Word as well as good grasp on Internet and email communication.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.

Position 3: Budgeting and Reporting Specialist (2)
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of Senior Finance Manager, to support organization’s finance operations unit both Addis Ababa based, and field based, program support, Audit and financial reporting, donor reporting and operationalize finance management and internal control systems for International Medical Corps’ field offices. The position holder will be responsible for Ensure timely preparation of budgets for new project proposals, budget revisions, efficient budget monitoring, financial donor reporting and audit process for the projects, in compliance with donor and IMC policies and procedures. She/he is responsible for the budget preparation of the new proposals, prepare monthly pipeline/BVA report and projections with program team and donor reports as assigned by line manager. Works closely with Sr. Finance Manager -Budgeting & Reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bacheller’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant field.
- Minimum 6 years proven progressive experience in finance and grants related positions
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working for INGOs
- Proven experience in working with financial management of projects funded by humanitarian donors (USAID/BHA, EHF, BPRM, UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP…)
- Solid knowledge and understanding of financial compliance, donor compliance and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent skills in the use of computers (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)

Position 4: Deputy Nutrition Program Manager
JOB SUMMARY
This position has responsibility of supporting the program manager in planning, managing the implementation and evaluation of the overall nutrition programme of social mobilization, IYCF and food security programs of IMC in Somali refugees in the Dollo Ado and Bokolmayo woreda where IMC is operational. The Deputy Program Manager is responsible to strategically plan, implement and monitor/evaluate all IMC nutrition programmes both preventive and curative activities like CMAM, IYCF and GMP programs in the area and will represent IMC and liaise with stakeholders including UNHCR, WFP, other UN agencies, RRS and local government partners in addition to other similar IP NGOs in the area. Thus, the primary functions of the Deputy Nutrition Program Manager is to assist the manager in providing leadership and overall day to day management of all Nutrition and Food Security programming including a strong behavior change component at Dollo Ado. S/he will lead the development of strategies and manage existing programs and resources, and provide day to day supervision, management and coaching to a wide team of Nutrition and Food Security. Ensure that International Medical Corps program is delivering the highest level of quality of nutrition services in line to national and international guideline
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc/Masters’ level degree in Nutrition or Public health / Nurse with nutrition background
- Minimum 5 years work experience in nutrition work and implementation of nutrition intervention programmes, including CMAM, GMP, IYCF and monitoring and evaluation aspects in refuge setup.
- Experience on community management of acute malnutrition in refugee communities/camp setting.
- Experience of managing human resource with diverse background under minimal supervision and support.
- Experience with training of staff in CMAM and IYCF
- Ability to read and interpret nutrition reports
- Flexible with ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
- Fluency in the local language and knowledge of local culture are required
- Good communication skills; Oral and written with fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience of and commitment to utilizing participatory approaches
- Understanding of nutritional surveillance and information systems
- Proven ability and experience in planning and conducting formal training session on nutrition including community mobilization and IYCF.
- Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach local staff and community workers.
- Ability to integrate into the local environment (RRS, UNHCR) including awareness of political, religious and economic aspects of the community.
