The International Rescue Committee (IRC), one of the world’s largest humanitarian international NGOs, provides relief, rehabilitation and development support to vulnerable people and communities over 40 countries. We began work in Ethiopia in 2000 in response to severe drought in Ethiopia’s Somali region and are currently providing assistance to Ethiopians and refugees in six regions in Ethiopia, implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, economic recovery and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectorial emergency response.

Position 1: Cash Transfer Programming Manger – Re-advertisement
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
BA/MBA graduate in Agricultural Economics, economics, and related field of study
Preferred experience & skills:
- 3+ years of experience managing emergency cash transfer projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time
- Strong analytic problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.
- Proven ability in developing workplans, data collection and analysis and performance monitoring.
- INGO experience is preferred.

Position 2: Community Wellbeing Initiative (CWI) Officer – Re-Advert
Location: Melkadida, Ethiopia
Requirements:
- BA/MA Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, Women’s Studies, or other social science fields.
- Minimum work experience of 2(two) years for BA Degree & 1 year for MA Degree holders. NGO experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in counseling or social service provision with women and adolescent girls.
- Demonstrated confidence in discussing intimate gender and sexuality issues.
- Able to maintain GBV and protection principles always – including knowledge and practical application of the GBV Guiding Principles and PSEA.
- Ability to communicate in English, Amharic, and Af-Somai languages skills is required.
- Familiarity working in Oromia regions is an advantage.
- Ability to use MS office, word, excel, and outlook email applications very well.

Position 3: Sanitation and Hygiene Officer
Location: Melkadida, Ethiopia
Qualifications
Experience in a humanitarian setting (refugee camps, rural development, or emergency response).
Proficient in Windows, MS office programs, email, and database tools.
Educational Requirements:
University Degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Nursing, Community Development, Health Education, or any other related field from recognized University
Preferred experience & skills:
- At least 2(two) years of relevant experience for degree holders and 1 year of relevant experience for Post graduate holder – Essential in the sector.
- Relevant work experience on hygiene promotion with I/NGO in development, emergency, or refugee settings – Preferable
- Very good written and spoken English – Essential and Tigrigna is an asset.
- Previous experience of implementing participatory hygiene promotion and sanitation methods (e.g., PHAST, CLTS/H, CHC, CHAST) and organizing campaigns on key hygiene themes
- Previous experience of implementing institutional (schools & health facilities) hygiene promotions/educations; – Preferable
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as to work autonomously when required; – Essential.
- Very good at computer- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail)
Language Skills:
Proficient in English writing and speaking skills.
Knowing local language is advantageous.
