International Rescue Committee (IRC) would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Clinical Nurse Officers

Educational Requirements

BSC/Diploma in Nursing, or Public Health (Senior Clinical/Public Nurse or above).

Preferred experience & skills:

Minimum one year for post-graduate, two years working experience for Degree, and five years’ experience for Diploma holders out of which two years’ experience directly related to emergency health & nutrition-related fields Knowledge, training, and experience in clinical case management a HCs and Hospitals, IYCF and community mobilization/BCC

Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation, and monitoring.

Demonstrated skills in peer group training, Training of Trainers, and development of training materials.

Proficiency in spoken and written English and Local language.

Strong computer (Microsoft skills), all, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Language Skills:

English language speaking, and writing capability are mandatory plus Local Language is advantageous.

 Certificates or Licenses:

Professional Licenses and other training on thematic areas and certificates are advantageous.

Position 2: Environmental Health officer Re-advert

Job Requirements:

The requirements should establish a baseline (minimum) for educational background, previous work experience, professional knowledge or certification, specific skills and strengths, and any other skill necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Educational Requirements:

University degree in civil, Hydraulics and water resource, environmental engineering, or other related fields.

Work Experience

 Minimum of two years for degree holders and one year of relevant experience for postgraduate and five years of relevant experience for diploma holders

+2 years’ experience in WASH project implementation.

Ability to work both independently and in a multifaceted, cross-functional distributed team structure.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Confirmed skill to work effectively with partners at all levels.

Ability to lead and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Preferred experience & skills:

Mandatory Committed to the mission and principles of the International Rescue Committee, Excellent computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet functions, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly and work under pressure to meet deadlines.]

Confirmed experience in construction /WASH facility design, construction monitoring, and contract management.

Confirmed experience in construction and water system design software and Aids; EPANET, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and Global Mapper.

Experience in a humanitarian setting (refugee camps, rural development, or emergency response).

Have proficient in Windows, MS office programs, email, and database tools.

Language Skills:

Proficient in English writing and speaking skills and ability to speak the Local language is advantageous.

Position 3: MHNT Nutrition Officer

Educational and Preferred experience

·    BSC/MPH/MSC in Nutrition

·    Minimum work experience of 2 years for BSc Degree and 1 year for MPH/MSc Degree holders and five years for diploma holders

·    NGO experience in emergency health response project activities is preferable.

·    Demonstrable experience in working with communities in participatory approaches and capacity building of health centers.

·    Ability to plan, organize, and supervise implementation of emergency health response projects.

Skills required:

 ·   Good technical and report writing skills with computer skills and knowledge.

·    Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.

·    Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, punctual and ability to constructively address gaps and weaknesses.

·    Basic supervisory/managerial skills with strong inter-personal skills.

·    Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.

·    Strong analytic problem-solving skills

·    Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.

·    Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite

·    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

·    Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Language Skills:

·    English, languages speaking and writing capability are mandatory plus Somali Language is advantageous.

Position 4: Child Protection Officer Re-advert

Education Requirements

University Degree in Social Work, psychology/Sociology or Social Science, with 1 years for postgraduate, 2 years for a degree of proven experience specific to child protection programing.

Preferred experience and skills

NGO experience is a plus.

Experience in capacity building and mentoring.

Good digital literacy: MS Word and Excel.

Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills and flexibility.

Good understanding of CP program approaches and practice.

Confirmed experience in developing competency-based training modules

Experience in working with harmed and at-risk children in NGO working system.

Skills Required:

Supervisory/basic managerial skills.

Technical and report writing skills.

Key Working Relationships:

·      The CP Officer will directly report to the senior CP officer with additional oversight from the CP manager and technically to the Child Protection team based in Addis Ababa.

Language Skills:

·      English fluent is required.

·      Local language is a plus.

Position 5: Pharmacy Technician Officer

Educational Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy/clinical pharmacy with a minimum of three years of practical experience in managing drugs and medical commodities in humanitarian settings.

Preferred experience & skills:

·        Minimum work experience of 2 years for BSc Degree, 1 years for MPH/MSc Degree holders

·        2+ years of experience managing different projects in humanitarian contexts such as in international NGOs.        

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.

·        Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.

·        Strong analytic problem-solving skills

·        Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure.

·        Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and excel.

·        Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

·        Ability to manage and work through change proactively and positively.

·        Address gaps and weaknesses.

Position 6: EPI Data Officer – readvertisement

Education and experience

Health informatics/Health information technician/ computer science from a recognized college/University.

Work experience:

Minimum of two years for degree holders and one year of relevant experience for postgraduate and five years of relevant experience for diploma holders.

Work experience in immunization, and PHEM is an asset.

Good project management skills. Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage the implementation of ZDC in hard-to-reach areas.

Understanding of Expand program of immunization (EPI) and diseases surveillance /PHEM/ policy in Ethiopia.

Personal specifications

Ability to work under pressure, long work hours and high workload.

Good interpersonal skills- verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.

Work as part of a team as well as to work autonomously when required.

Ability to constructively address gaps and weaknesses.

Language Skills:  

Strong oral and written communication skills in English   

Strong oral and written communication skills in Amharic and Tigrigna is plus

Position 7: Water Technician Officer

Educational Requirements:

·   Degree holder 2 years in Electricity or Auto mechanics and post graduate 1 year working experience.

·   Diploma and/or (10+3) TVET in Electricity or Auto mechanics from colleges and with 5 years of relevant demonstrated experience; Auto Mechanic/Electricity graduates.

·    Diploma plus certificate in Electromechanical or plumbing installation Technology from recognized institution, Experience in surface, submersible and solar driven pumps and generators operation & maintenance is helpful.

Preferred experience & skills:

·    Knowledge and experience on the operation of motorized water supply schemes

·    Have demonstrated experience on the generators and submersible pumps problem detection and servicing.

·    Have good ability in communication and coordination capacity within the staff and refugee incentives and community.

·    NGOs experience is desirable.

·    Strong and proven track record to prioritize and deliver on time.

·    Strong analytic problem-solving skills

·    Demonstrated ability to work effectively with partners at all levels.

·    Ability to manage and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

·    Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.

Language Skills:

·    Communication skill spoken in English, Local language and/or Amharic is a plus

Position 8: WPE-CP Manager

Educational Requirements:

·        MA/MSc or equivalent in psychology, Gender studies Mental health, public health, psychiatry nursing, Social Science, Humanities or other related social/health science field of study with 3 years of relevant experience. 4 years of relevant experience with a first-degree BA. With significant psychosocial support and counseling experience and training considered

Preferred Experience & skills:

·        Proven experience in implementing child protection and GBV initiatives, field-based assessments and working with local organizations in humanitarian/early recovery contexts.

·        Demonstrated understanding of working with children in line with principles of do no harm.

·        Personal qualities: Team player, ability to connect with a wide range of audiences, flexible, able to handle pressure well.

·        A very high degree of autonomy, an ability to organize work and work well with a team with varied strengths.

·        Use of computer tools (outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·        Ability to communicate and develop good relationships with communities and community organization, using a participatory approach.

·        Physical and psychological ability to work under pressure,

·        The employee must be flexible and able to respond to the requirements and instructions of their supervisor for the needs of the department.

·        Willingness to travel to IRC project areas.

·        Creative, solution oriented and adaptable

·        Strong analytical, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills.

·        Able to handle pressure well and work independently with initiative as well as with a team.

Language Skills:

Fluency in English is mandatory and Somali language is Advantageous.
