Kerchanshe Equipment would like to invites competent and qualified candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: – Service Trainee
Required Qualification: Automotive, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or related Engineering Degree from a recognized University
Work Experience: Not Required (Zero year)
Only those who graduated in 2022 and up are eligible.
The programme is to enrol in a structured training program that combines “on the Job Training,” classroom-based technical training, and exposure on the machine work sites of the customers with our experienced and well-trained Engineers to gain a thorough understanding of the Caterpillar Service business and its procedures.
Once the structured training period has been successfully completed, take up a as a Workshop, or Field Service based Engineer with-in one of the service departments’ branches.
Required Skills
Knowledge: Mechanical, Electrical and IT knowledge
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Apprentice
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs Maintenance and repairs on general line product
- Performs few limited troubleshooting
- Gains experience in higher level
- Removes, disassembles, and installs any component
- Cleans parts and components
- Assembles new machines and attachments
- Makes routine machine and systems adjustments
- Uses service publications and Service Information System (SIS)
- Orders parts
- Completes Service Reports
- Communicate details of technical problems to supervisors
- Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies, and systems.
- Use safe working practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related tasks and activities as directed.
Job Requirements
Required Qualification:
Diploma in Automotive and related fields of study from a Technical and Vocational College.
Only those who graduated in 2022 and up are eligible.
Skills:
Honesty and discretion
Ability to speak and write standard technical English
Numerate
Good time keeping
Willing to work according to the needs of the business
Able to use and identify hand tools correctly
Training Duration:
Eighteen (18) months
