Position 1: – Economist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to categorize Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on growth, profitability, liquidity, and relevant business activities
  • Provide expert guidance on indicator selection to ensure comprehensive categorization aligned with each business’s distinctive characteristics.
  • Streamline the formulation of survey questions tailored to each business category, capturing insightful data on MSMEs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align survey questions with nuanced aspects of different business types, contributing to robust data collection.
  • Contribute to developing macroeconomic indicators specific to business lines, considering interrelatedness and relevance.
  • Craft survey questions that correlate with macroeconomic indicators, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape relative to broader economic metrics.
  • Play a pivotal role in designing and executing surveys aimed at gathering MSME business indicators and macroeconomic data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business analysts, to optimize data collection processes.

Job Requirements:

Education: A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Economics or a related field with a focus on applied economics, business economics, or data science.

Experience: A minimum of 7 years   proven experience in categorizing businesses, selecting economic indicators, and crafting survey questions, preferably in the context of MSMEs and macroeconomic analysis.

Competency/Prerequisites:

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills to interpret economic data, assess business indicators , and contribute to the formulation of data driven model

Position 6: DFS Field Officer

  • Interact with different associations, Government offices, other relevant bodies that work with MSMEs.
  • Facilitate educational sessions for MSME owners on the advantages of digital financial services and how they contribute to business growth.
  • Guide MSMEs through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand and complete all necessary steps.
  • Facilitate the provisioning of training in financial literacy and BDS to help MSMEs manage and grow their businesses effectively.
  • Work towards achieving individual and team targets for MSME onboarding, adhering to a structured conversion funnel.
  • Gather feedback from MSME clients to improve services and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of MSME engagements, progress, and onboarding status.
  • Collaborate with team members and the Area Manager to refine outreach strategies and onboarding processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between MSMEs and the Company, ensuring a smooth transition into the digital lending platform and fostering a trusting relationship.

Job Requirements:

Education: A degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.

Experience: At least 2 years of fieldwork experience, preferably with exposure to MSMEs or in the financial services sector

Competency/Prerequisites:

  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and educate business owners.
  • Familiarity with digital financial services and enthusiasm for financial technology and inclusion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in local languages and dialects of the regional area is mandatory.

  • This role is field-based and requires daily travel within the region.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of MSMEs and inform future lending decisions.
  • Lead a team dedicated to the mission of financial inclusion, providing mentorship and setting clear targets in line with the organization objectives.
  • Reports to the Company head office on a regular basis.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor & degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.

Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services or projects with a focus on MSMEs, rural finance or digital lending.

Competency/Prerequisites:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or client acquisition, particularly within the financial sector.

Position 8: Regional Manger

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Direct Channel Operations Manager in regards to overall performance as well as the daily/weekly and monthly strategies.
  • Ensure operational and administrative activities which include agent activation logistic management (devise distribution, training material, required prints and stationeries supply and distribution points, marketing material are available and distributed to the required location; and utilized properly as per the KFT policies.
  • Lead and manage the overall regionally approved KFT strategy and the day to day operation management and control of Direct Channel activities within his/her designated region.
  • Make decisions concerning overall performance and sale strategies with the prior approval from the Direct Channel Manager.
  • Support, Coach, Train, Mentor and supervise the performance of the Zonal Coordinators, Sales Officers and KFT designated employees within the KFT designated region; Set target and Provide Work directions and ensure that the operation is running smoothly
  • Review the operation performance of KFT employees and partners within the KFT designated region and Identify the skill gaps and plan for training and capacity building programs to enhance the operational excellences
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of the regions and report the progress regularly
  • work closely with the customer service department to ensure that feedback from customers are acted on within agreed SLA’s
  • liaise with the relevant local stakeholders -local government and others
  • Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the regional operations management, enabling effective leveraging one infrastructure for multiple business of the company,
  • Undertake intensive operation research
  • Co-ordinates activities within the regions
  • Provide consolidated Report of overall activities of the regions
