Mamokacha PLC would like to invites competent and qualified candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Manager Purchasing and Supplies Management

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Managing director, the purchasing and supplies manger has a responsibility of developing purchasing strategies and oversee the purchasing team in their daily activities of sourcing suppliers and purchasing products, equipment, and services. Handles the overall procurement needs of the Agro-processing and retails business units, including other functional units within Mamokacha. Optimization of supply chain/logistics management from both materials management and physical distribution aspects, through maintaining a positive supplier relation and coordinating the efforts internal teams. That is, an integrated supply management, through identification of relationships with other business units (Retails operation and Agro-processing units) and other functional areas/ departments.

Position duties or responsibilities

  • Implement Mamokach Procurement and other Standard operating procedure in carrying out procurement related duties to ensure compliance.
  • Assesses stock availability, setting up re-odder levels, market prediction for availability of products and implement purchasing strategies
  • Perform Procurement Planning and budget related duties. Develop procurement plans for active gains, through cooperation with other business and functional units.
  • Lead the efforts bidding in the process of quotation and proposal requests, evaluation of bids and facilitation with procurement committee and others involved
  • Preparation of procurement contracts through skillful negotiations and favorable terms and conditions
  • Preparation, review and approval of purchase requests and orders
  • Supplier management and performance reviews      
  • Review of procurement documents prior to payments
  • Maintain purchasing record keeping mechanism and timely and accurate reporting systems
  • Carryout other duties assigned

Job Requirements

Skills Required

  • Industry experience, with understanding of materials and equipment used in the retail business, hotel and hospitality, and Agro-processing industries
  • Confirmed skills and abilities in creating policies and guidelines to carry out supply chain planning and management process
  • Risk management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Effective cross functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills verbal & written
  • Proven strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of management and business principles and change management
  • Ability to train others
  • Proven computer skills in use of Microsoft office products, including word office

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing & Supplies management or  relevant discipline

At least 6 years of experience in procurement related management position/supply chain managerial role

Position 2: Manager Logistics and Facilities Management

Job Summary:

The Logistics and Facilities Management Manager has a responsibility of planning and managing, coordinating and monitoring logistics with in Mamokacha, including warehousing, inventory, transportation and supply chain processes. In charge of the distribution, movement and storage of supplies for the retails and agro processing business units. The facility management role comes with a responsibility of ensuring that our facilities are operational and all utilities are functioning properly. Determining and scheduling repairs or renovation projects, and coordinating safety inspection.

Job Responsibilities:

Managerial/supervisory responsibilities:

– Managing and directing the daily operations of the logistics and facilities department

– Guidance and support to the logistics and facilities management staff through coaching and training

– Leads the effort of supply chain planning, through identification of anticipated warehouse deliveries and vehicle needs through a coordinated effort of; retail operations and Agro-processing units, office administrator, purchasing and supplies manager, warehouse, finance, the import export unit, and other functional units

– Develops delivery and service routes based on inputs form each business and functional units

– Creates delivery schedules, service routes plans and driver shift schedules

– Performance evaluations of subordinates

– Enforcing company rules and regulations

– Ensure all health and legal requirement and regulations are adhered to

– Ensuring periodic and regular maintenance check plans are in place

– Develops safety and security procedures and guidelines, and ensures their adherence

– Emergency management and business continuity planning

Skills Required:

– Experience in retails and manufacturing business, with knowledge and understanding of materials and equipment used in the retail business, hotel and hospitality, and Agro-processing industries preferred

–  Confirmed skills and abilities of planning, creating policies and guidelines to carry out supply chain and facilities management

– Risk management and mitigation skills

– Effective cross functional collaboration skills

– Excellent communication skills verbal & written

– Proven strong organizational and leadership skills

Qualifications:

– Educational Requirements: BA Degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics Management /Accounting, Management or related fields

– Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics and fleet management, including facilities management managerial role

Position 3: Manager HR and Administration

Job Summary:

The Human Resource and Administration Manager has responsibility to lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing Mamokacha policies and practices. Additional administration managerial responsibilities include supervise daily administrative operations, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support required to work efficiently.

Required skills and Experience:

– Excellent organizational skills

– Excellent verbal and written communication skills

– Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

– Experience in both Human Resource Management and administration areas is required

– The applicants with experience in Agro based firms/Agro Processing and retail operations business areas is preferred

– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

– Ability to prioritize and to delegate tasks appropriately

– Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

– Verified experience and thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

– Monitoring regular reports on expenses and office budgets

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required

The applicants should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the following area(s): Human Resource, Administration Management
