Position: Income Generating Activities Officer
Job Description
MaryJoy Trading PLC, established by Mary Joy Ethiopia, is a legally registered business whose primary objective is to generate income to use as a source of funding for humanitarian missions.
Job Summery
The IGA officer will be in charge of all income generating activities that are initiated to provide means to achieve a financial sustainability for the company. The IGA Officer will perform his/her role to assist in carrying out all Income Generating activities and the upkeep of existing business relationships under the supervision of the General Manager.
Reports To: General Manager
Job Requirements
Required Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Business management, Entrepreneurship, Accounting or other business-related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years working experience in a business-related field and experience running own successful business.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English and Amharic);
- Independent work style, high level of self-initiative;
- Entrepreneurial spirit;
- Motivation to create and implement new business ideas;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to be articulate, concise, compelling, and diplomatic.
Technical Competencies:
- Need analysis and business plan writing
- Promotion and marketing
- Use of technology and social media
- Conducting meetings
- Multitasking and working under pressure
