Position 1: Social Worker, CDCS Project /Afar

Duty station: The Social Worker will be based at Yalo, Afar Region 

Employment Term: 10 Months with possibility of extension

Basic Salary: 23,040.00 ETB

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Program manager and working in close collaboration with the MHPSS officer, the Social Worker will assist in the linkage of GBV and MHPSS patients with protection needs. This will include linking of GBV cases, advocacy on behalf of clients according to their needs, referrals and systematic follow ups, accompaniment as well as overall case coordination.

Educational Qualification

MSC /BSC Degree in community health, social work, Sociology, or related fields.

Work Experience

 At least 2 years of working experience on community, social work in health care setting in emergency situations.

At least two-year experience in similar positions.

Experience with other NGO is a plus.

Skills and qualities required

Reactivity, anticipation, adaptability, capacity to take initiatives

Organizational skills

Excellent written and communication skills

Ability to manage priorities

Job Summary

The psychologist will be based at Afar-Yalo field office .The overall responsibility is to directly or indirectly carry out prevention, management and/or research activities in the area of mental health and psychosocial support. S/he will be under the direct supervision of Program manager with technical link with the mission MHPSS Coordinator.

Educational Qualification

 Msc /BSC Degree in Clinical  Psychology or related field having Training / certification in MH Gap in PHC

Work Experience

  • At least 3 years of working experience as Psychologist in health care setting / Counsellor in a health facility in emergency situations
  • Experience with other NGO is a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in reporting, supervising and training others in a team setting.

Skills and qualities required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to assess people’s mental capacities.
  • Organize an individual or institutional therapeutic framework (adjusting treatment to patients and their environments)

  • Know how to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Formalize and communicate professional know-how

  • Conduct and interpret personality and cognitive tests
  • Conduct psychological interviews
  • Draft and format clinical notes, documents and/or reports relating to the specialist area
  • Understand clinical psychology and psychopathology, particularly in relation to the group in question.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, She/he ensure technical quality in planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the CDCS project during the life of the project.

Educational Qualification and Professional Experience

  • MSc /BSc Degree in Medical or public health (preferred), GBV, MHPSS and/or Nutrition background and having good project Management Knowledge
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in humanitarian settings
  • Experience in an international NGO
  • Preferable experience in health sector

Skills and qualities required

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management tools (Logical Framework analysis, project cycle management, objectives and indicators etc.).
  • Capacity to work and to live in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to cope with last minutes changes and solution oriented

Position 7: Humanitarian Access and Safety Manager

Job Summary

The coordination office of MDM – Ethiopian Mission is based in Addis Ababa. At present, there are 3 base offices one in Oramia , One in Afar region and the other is in Tigray region. Living conditions in Adidas Ababa are good and city is safe. Expats living in shared accommodation having individual room with shared kitchen and living area. Internet facility is also available.

Under the supervision of the General Coordinator, you are responsible for the development and implementation of the security pack and the monitoring and control of the safety and security of people and assets. You will improve contextual analysis, build a network, support operational management, and strengthen the security capacities of the mission to advise and support the General Coordinator.

Educational Qualification

MSC /BSC Degree in Law, Political Science, Police Science or related fields.

Work Experience

  • Similar experience or a minimum of 3 years of experience working with international NGOs in high-risk humanitarian contexts
  • Specific trainings in security management is an asset
  • Knowledge/experience of Mastery of Office 365, SharePoint/cloud systems

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, humanitarian affairs, business administration or relevant areas.

Work Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience from which 2 years are in a similar level in humanitarian access, risk reduction or relevant field, with NGO experience preferred.
  • Specific trainings in security management are an asset
  • Knowledge/experience of Office 365, SharePoint/cloud systems

Position 9: Capital Logistics Manager

Duty station: Addis Coordination Office,

Basic Salary: 46,160.00

Job Summary

  • The post holder will perform her/his tasks and duties under the supervision of the Logistics Coordinator.
  • He/she will work closely with the Logistics Coordinator in order to fulfil his/her duties.

Educational Qualification

BA/MA in supply chain management, procurement, business administration and other related field of study with the combination of relevant training and Certification.

Work Experience

  • At least 5+ years’ relevant work experience out of which Two years of professional work experience as a Logistic Manager in INGO.
  • Significant experience in large scale logistical function both emergency and development programs in NGO.

Skills and qualities required

  • Available 3 weeks max after formal offer
