NEWA has a twofold goal: synchronizing the individual activities of women’s associations into an integrated collective effort and synergy to realize their common aspirations for gender equality; and launching a vigorous public campaign of promotion, advocacy, and lobbying for women’s rights
Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position: Cashier Accountant
- (Female Applicants Only)
Education:
- Diploma in Accounting or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect all funds and other legal remittances, issue proper receipts, and record all transactions.
- Reconcile daily collections against vouchers/receipts and deposit the cash in the bank at the earliest possible time (no later than the next day) with proper documentation.
- Stamp and properly file all finance-related supporting documents (vouchers, journal vouchers, etc.) in their respective donor box files.
- Record monthly withholding tax and reconcile with system records.
- Prepare year-end journal vouchers and bank payment vouchers and ensure they are filed chronologically.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
