It is the third microfinance institution to make such a move, after Amhara and Oromia saving & credit institutions. The shareholders of the microfinance voted last week to change its name to Omo. Established 25 years ago with an initial capital of half a million Birr and four branch offices, the institution has total assets of 10.7 billion Br and a paid-up capital of 1.9 billion Br.
Omo was one of the five largest microfinance institutions in Ethiopia, along with Amhara, Oromia, Addis, and Dedebit. These institutions account for 82.6pc of the total capital, 90pc of the savings, and 85.9pc of the credit provided in the microfinance market. Omo mobilised over seven billion Birr in deposits last year, bringing its aggregate to 36 billion Br.
Omo Bank SC would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1. Security Guard
Qualification & Experience: 10th Grade complete & 2 years of relevant experience.
Required No: 09 (Nine)
Place of Work: Main Branch (Addis Ababa)
Position 2. Branch Auditor I
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 4 years of relevant experience; working at an audit position is preferable.
Required No: 07 (Seven)
Place of Work: Branches under Bonga (Goba & Decha), Arba Minch (Gogale), Jemu (Gachit & Gorigesha), Tarcha (Konta Koysha), Karat (Segen).
Position 3. Branch Auditor II
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 6 years of relevant experience; working at an audit position is preferable.
Required No: 03 (Three)
Place of Work: Branches under Jemu (Maji & Bero), Masha (Tepi).
Position 4. Junior Customer Relationship Officer
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 03 (Three)
Place of Work: Arba Minch (Gogale & Kumba), Sawula (Laska).
Position 5. Customer Service Officer
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 04 (Four)
Place of Work: Arba Minch (Gogale), Sawula (Gada, Lote, Laska).
Position 6. Customer Relationship Officer III
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 01 (One)
Place of Work: Sawula District (Laska).
Position 7. Resource Mobilization Officer I
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.

Position 8. Customer Relationship Officer I
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.

Position 9. Customer Relationship Officer II
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.

Place of Work: Halaba District, Sawula District.
Position 10. Senior Customer Service Officer I
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 06 (Six)
Place of Work: Branches under Sawula (Gada, Lote, Laha), Arba Minch (Gogale & Kumba), Halaba (Nekata).
Position 11. Branch Operation Manager I
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 04 (Four)
Place of Work: Branches under Durame (Angecha & Adilo), Halaba (Abegaz Higiso), Sawula (Laha).
Position 12. Branch Operation Manager II
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 02 (Two)
Place of Work: Branches under Aleta (Aleta Ketema), Halaba (Woma).
Position 13. Branch Manager I
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 06 (Six)
Place of Work: Branches under Hawasa Ketema (Hawasa), Jinka (Bakodawula & Wub Ari), Dilla (Raphe), Karat (Segen), Aleta (Chabe).
Position 14. Branch Manager II
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 12 (Twelve)
Place of Work: Branches under Hawasa Sidama (Yirgalem), Bonga (Cheta), Hawasa Ketema (Haik Dar, Addis Ketema, Bahil Adarash), Halaba (Woma), Sawula (Shefite & Galma), Worabe (Tora), Tarcha (Esera, Zaba Gazo & Disa).
Position 15. Branch Manager III
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 06 (Six)
Place of Work: Branches under Addis Ababa (Main Branch), Bonga (Gesha, Tello, Bitta), Arba Minch (Birbir), Dilla (Chelelekitu).
Position 16. Senior Finance Officer
Qualification: BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 01 (One)
Place of Work: Head Office (Addis Ababa).
Position 17. Head, Talent Administration Section
Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, HRM, Management, Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business Leadership, Marketing Management, or related fields.
Experience: 5/7 years of relevant work experience out of which 1 year in a senior or principal position, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 01 (One)
Place of Work: Head Office (Addis Ababa).
Position 18. Manager, General Accounts Division
Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 6/8 years of relevant work experience out of which 2 years working as a team manager or section head, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 01 (One)
Place of Work: Head Office (Addis Ababa).
Position 19. Manager, Strategy Development & Planning Division
Qualification: MA/BA Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Experience: 6/8 years of relevant work experience out of which 2 years working as a team manager or section head, preferably in the banking sector.
Required No: 01 (One)
Place of Work: Head Office (Addis Ababa).
