OVID Betoch Bank S.C would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.

Position 1: Accountant

Job Description:

Accountant

Prepares tickets/ Vouchers for payment to internal and external customers and      arranges for Authorization;

Prepares checks for payments

Prepare payroll and manage related tax payments;

Monitor and follows up suspense accounts at Head office level;

Posts financial transactions to their respective accounts;

Checks that all subsidiary accounts are balanced with controlling accounts (GLs);

Reconcile Bank accounts on periodic basis

Maintain shareholder register book in compliance with the commercial code of Ethiopia and the directives of the National Bank of Ethiopia

Prepare periodic financial reports including shareholder register book and submit to supervisors on time

Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Minimum qualifications & Experience

BA/B.SC in Accounting/Finance/ Business Management or related field.

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 (Three) years related working experience

 Required Skills & Knowledge

knowledge of basic accounting, IFRS standards and tax regulations.

Communication and interpersonal skills;

Basic computer application skills

Knowledge of basic accounting software

Position 2: Marketing & Communication Head

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the execution of marketing strategies

Responsible for communication reviews, creation of approved messaging and liaison with     multiple groups to plan and develop timely and effective communication activities;

Creation of appropriate messaging and content for marketing campaigns;

Assist with internal and external communication;

Assist with social media and other publication content

Source and prepare engaging content that will be used to demonstrate progress of the organization;

Assist with developing channels that will be required to effectively reach diverse audiences/stakeholders

Craft and send regular newsletters with bank’s updates

Track ROI for marketing campaigns

Strengthen relationships with marketing communication teams including the design and creative services team.

Minimum qualification and work experience: 

BA Degree in Management, Marketing communications, Business, Marketing, English, Journalism or other related fields with 4(6) years of banking experience of which 2 Years in marketing and communication area

Good organizational and planning skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

The ability to work on multiple projects at one time

Job Description: –

Office Management & Secretary

Responsibilities: –

Processing, typing, editing, and formatting letters, forms, and documents.

Communicating with internal departments and with the customers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Good time management skills

Managing calls, and emails, to designated departments.

Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.

Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks

Answering phones in a professional manner and routing calls as necessary.

Implement the sales, and promotion strategy of the Bank

Identify and persuade potential investors who can buy shares from the Bank

Promote the bank under formation and share selling through various social platforms

Make direct share selling to potential investors

Engage in event organizing and campaign events arranged by the Bank and sell shares accordingly

Receive shareholder requests and provide an appropriate response

Collect complaint and respond or escalate for further action

Make telephone calls to remind subscribers to make payments and fulfil documentation requirements

Position 5: Head of Finance and Administration

Job Description

OVID Betoch Bank S.C./Under Formation / would like to invite competent and qualified candidates to apply for the following positions to be hired on a permanent basis.

The job holder is responsible to lead the finance and administrative function of the under-establishment bank with more emphasis on financial reporting, human resources and property administration and others as specified in the detail job description.

JOB Description

 Maintain the books of accounts of the Bank under formation

Prepare periodic internal and external financial reports of the Bank in compliance with IFRS and the requirement of the National Bank of Ethiopia

Communicate with the bank’s project management and other stakeholders on financial matters;

Ensure compliance with tax and pension laws

Ensure that the bank reconciliation is done on periodic basis

Ensure that the shareholder register book is managed in accordance with the requirements of the commercial code and the directives of the National Bank of Ethiopia

Ensure that the fixed assets and stocks are properly recorded, controlled and reconciled

Lead the human resource and procurement function

Lead and evaluate staffs under his/her supervision

Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
