At Ovid Trade House, our Import division focuses on bringing innovative solutions to the local market by generating creative ideas that introduce top-quality international goods, enhancing market activity.
On the export side, we expand Ethiopia’s market by introducing new products and proudly connecting local farmers to global buyers with key exports like sesame seeds, coffee, and oily seeds.
Ovid Trading would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following position.
Position 1: Junior System Development Officer
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic training or certification in structured database management, data analysis, or system design tools.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems, business intelligence software, or workflow automation platforms is an advantage.
Experience and Competencies
One to three years of relevant experience in system development, data analysis, or enterprise reporting roles.
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Proficient in spreadsheet analysis, system testing, and information flow mapping.
Capable of working collaboratively with system developers, data owners, and functional teams.
Effective communicator with the ability to document technical processes clearly and concisely.
Commitment to data confidentiality, system integrity, and continuous professional development.
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Senior System Development Officer
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in MIS, Data Analytics, Digital Innovation, or a relevant business-technology program.
Experience:
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in system development, executive reporting, or enterprise analytics roles.
Proven experience preparing and presenting data reports to CEOs, Executive Committees, or Boards.
Solid background in data center operations, ERP systems, and enterprise architecture.
Location: Addis Ababa
Deadline: May 24, 2025
