Position 1: Research study about cultural identity, intersectionality and gender in Somali Region
The objectives of this research are:
- To analyze the social culture of Somali Region and how its cultural structures affect women and girls;
- To analyze the ideological culture of Somali Region and how its values and believes affect women and girls;
- To identify cultural aspects that could be used as transformative tools for gender empowerment;
- To analyze the relationship between culture in the area and type of violences against women and girls;
- To identify the aspects that build the identity of women and girls in Somali culture;
- To analyze the aspects that build masculinity in Somali culture;
- To analyze the bottlenecks within the culture to transform gender roles;
- To analyze the relatioship between culture, access and power of women and girls on natural resources, mainly on water;
- To analyze the role of Somali women and girls within their own culture: in the production, participation and transmission of it.
- to analyze the relationship between culture and religion and how it affects to women and girls

Position 2: Participatory Research study about GBV in Somali Region
This GBV study is divided into 2 parts:
Typology of violences against women and girls in Somali region; its causes and consequences
Which will include:
- A detailed analysis on the types of violences including tradicional practices, invisible violence, simbolic violence, violence related to sexual and reproductive health, etc.
- Data on the practice of the different type of violences seggregated by area, age, socioeconomic situation and intersectional profile of women and girls in 3 selected areas of Somali;
- Analysis of the perception of women and girls and men and boys towards the different types of violence.
- An analysis of the causes, including sociocultural and religious structures of power, roles and gender mandates
- An analysis of the individual and collective consequences of GBV in the region
- Mechanisms of guarantee, protection and respect of women rights in Somali Region
Which will include:
- An analysis of the gender architecture in the formal and informal systems;
- An analysis of the international, national and regional policies regarding women rights and the gaps/bottlenecks in its practical application in Somali Region;
- A qualitative and quantitative mapping and evaluation of the resources to protect women rights in the region including direct assistance services, referral system, gaps in knowledge and skills of the agents involved, mechanisms for data collection and systematization, among others;
- An evaluation of the reporting systems and the revictimation of women during the process;
- An analysis of the mechanisms to repair the damage of victims/survivors;
- A mapping of the women organizations of the area.

Position 3: Finance Officer/Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining proper financial transaction record in the accounting system on a daily basis;
- Assist in processing disbursements and prepare vouchers, bank letter / Cheques by ensuring the validity as well as completeness of supporting documents;
- Perform in processing cash & Cheque collections, acknowledge the receipt by issuing cash receipt voucher (CRV);
- Ensuring timely settlement of travel advances, another receivable;
- Perform in payroll preparation and disbursement processes;
- Ensuring timely settlement of monthly bills.
- Assist in the prepare journal voucher for non-cash transactions;
- Perform in coding transactions,
- Assist in timely reconciliation and settlement of taxes (WHT and employment income tax) and pension contribution.
- Undertake VAT reimbursement request and follow-up process for USAID funded projects;
- Assist in reviewing petty cash record and documentation.
- Undertake petty cash count.
- Assist in finance and administration file management;
- Assist in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts;
- Undertake periodic financial reporting and budget development as well as monitoring process;
- Assist in reviewing procurement documentation in line with PC policy and donors’ requirements.
- Assist in partner financial review, as required.
- Assist in administration and logistics services processes, as required;
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor;
