Position 1: Logistic Officer for Emergency Program
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly float request for logistic related costs for Hawassa office
- Ensure the refilling of fuel for all Vehicles on every Friday or based on the need; fuel for generator and avail proper log sheet
- Monitor the fleet expenditure; report the log data base and share it to logistic manager
- Ensure the functionality of weekly fleet management plan in collaboration with the Fleet Officer
- In collaboration with Fleet Officer, prepare a car services plan; keep/register all vehicle spare parts include vehicle tires and the store properly
- Strengthen proper log book management, services record etc
- Ensure all drivers signed Liability of Assets for the vehicles, driver acknowledgement and archive in their personal file
- Supervise Hawassa Drivers, cleaner, cook and guards
- Coordinate with Fleet officer on renewal and claims concerning all kinds of a local insurance and vehicle annual technical inspection
- Supervise and monitoring the rental car movement, refill fuels, monitor log sheet
- Responsible for monitoring and facilitating water tracking as per guideline
Job Requirements
- BSC Degree or Diploma in logistic, procurement, bussiness management, driving services and other related and relevant fields of studies
- For Diploma minimum 4 years’ experience and for BSC degree minimum 2 years work experiane in a development project context/sector
- NGO experience is advantageous
- Good networking, representation and coordination and negotiation skills with stakeholders, government and other agencies.
- Planning, coordination and report writing skills
- Good communication and capacity to work under stress
- Good command of MS Package (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- Knowledge of spoken & written Amharic, English
- 3 strong references (will be crosschecked/contacted.

Position 2: Field Coordinator
The Field Coordinator specific tasks are:
- Coordinate and/or participate emergency coordination meeting at woreda and zonal level and update the project manager regularly on the meeting updates and findings
- Coordinate activities in the field to ensure that the emergency response activities are not duplicated with other partner operating on the same intervention area
- Provide support and guidance during the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of emergency response in the intervention woreda and the respective kebeles from the inception to the close out stages.
- Coordinate activities in the field to ensure that PIN WASH and shelter, NFI and CASH emergency response are implemented as per the specified standards and protocols
- As a coordinator on Emergency WASH response, Field Coordinator is responsible for mentoring, couching and leading field officer on Emergency WASH and Shelter response project activities.
- Facilitate regular assessment on the situation of IDPs and the hosting community, compile, analyze, interpret data, and report to the Project Manager for update and action.
- Support in strengthening rapid response of the emergency team to enable them to collect, compile, analyze and interpret surveillance reports to use for decision making and action and also provision of feedback.
- Facilitate and follow the distribution of NFIs as per the project
- Help in staff training, performances monitoring and ensure that PIN standards and protocols are adhered and implemented.
- Provide and facilitate trainings and orientation for field staffs and government employees’ basics core value of humanitarian organizations.
- Provide updates and regular reports on in the situation of IDPs, returnees and hosting community in the intervention area
- Assist the project manager to compile the field-based reports and on preparing high level regular reports and updates.
- Support the field-based team to establish strong reporting systems and data flow mechanisms and ensure proper functioning of the systems for regular assessment, monitoring and evaluation of the projects against its objectives and expected results.
- Represent PIN at woreda and zonal humanitarian coordination cluster meetings and Collaborate with other actors working in the in the project target areas
- Be flexible and be able to give assistance with different activities not included in this primary job description.
- ensuring timely and effective implementation of project activities and meeting set results
- cost effective utilization of the project budget and follow up on the expenditures
- prompt provision of all relevant information to Project manager and archiving of all entrusted and acquired documents in proper manner
- Performs related work as assigned by the project manager
Job Requirements
- Minimum BA or BSC in project Management, Economics, Social science, Disaster Risk Reduction, Psychology, Social work, Development Studies and Other related field of studies
- Minimum 2 years’ experience & above in an emergency sector and knowledge of project/program management, design and implementation of relief in relevant fields, experience with USID/BHA,ECHO,EHF funded project and experience in ES/NFI and WASH sectors.
- Experience of working in emergency project specifically related to WASH, shelter & cash activities, coordination & basic computer skill are the basic ones
- Good networking, representation and coordination and negotiation skills with government and other agencies
- Flexible, reliable, culturally sensitive
- ability to work in teams/ isolated situation and stressful environments and under pressure meeting deadlines
- Planning, coordination and report writing skills
- Good communication and capacity to work under stress
- Good command of MS Package (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- Knowledge of spoken & written Amharic, English

Position 3: Project Manager (for NRM Project)
Project Manager
Project Manager (PjM), under the direct supervision of the Deputy Head of Development Programmes and overall supervision by the Head of Development programmes, is fully responsible for the successful implementation of the project climate resilient farming systems in Halaba and Silte. The PjM will be responsible for achieving the specific results in the field and ensuring quality and timely results. The Project Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Deputy Head of Program, overall supervision of the Head of Development programmes and with close cooperation HR, Financial & Logistic department and other PjMs.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful implementation of the project. This will include managing the entire components of the project and required deliverables/outcomes, ensuring both technical and management requirements are met, and managing relevant government /stakeholder and donor liaison requirements.
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that key organizational principles and approaches, such as sound M&E system, CFRM and gender mainstreaming etc are well integrated throughout the project cycle; for ensuring that lessons derived through implementation of projects are well articulated, documented and disseminated both internally and externally.
Job Requirements
- Degree in the field of NRM, Climate Resilience, Watershed Management, Agriculture, CSA, or other related field of studies
- At least 5 years’ and above Experience in PCM, Community Mobilization, Data collection and Analysis, Survey, Assessment, Training Provision etc.
Salary: 38,300 ETB

Position 4: Field Officer (for NRM Project)
General Description of the position:
The Field Officer (FO) is fully responsible for the successful implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the project activities and outputs. FO is also responsible for achieving the specific results of the project in proper quality and time. The FO works under supervision of a Field Coordinator, and collaborates with woreda government Officials, Development Agents (DAs), Kebele administrative, community and other PIN staffs. As per contract of employment, the FO is accountable for the regulation and rules of PIN including core values of the organization.
Job Requirements
Degree in the field of NRM, Climate Resilience, Watershed Management , Agriculture, CSA, or other related field of studies
At least 3-4 years’ Experience in PCM, Community Mobilization, Data collection and Analysis, Survey, Assessment, Training Provision etc.
Salary: 15,940 ETB
Workplace: Based in Halaba with frequent travel to PIN’s project sites in different regions as required
