Position 1: Education in Emergency Officer
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
B.E./BA degree in Education, Community Development, Psychology, Social Sciences
Minimum of 3 years’ experience implementing Education in Emergency (EiE) projects
Minimum of two successful assignments in a complex IDP emergency situation (at least one of these must be field level post);
Experience with the following technical areas:
Mobilizing as well as facilitating training to teachers
Knowledge and practical experience in EiE as per the INEE Minimum Standards
Participation and/or coordination with the Education Cluster
Knowledge and experience in formal and non-formal education
KNOWLEDGE AND Skills
Knowledge of humanitarian interventions/activities in IDP settings.
Awareness of safeguarding and child protection issues
Sensitivity to gender and inclusion in EiE contexts.
Ability to deliver quality programs in a short time and work under stressful conditions.
Proven ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Proposal and report writing skills.
Analytical and strategic thinking
Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English and Amharic
Computer skills including Microsoft office and other relevant application

Qualifications/Experience Essential:
BA Degree in logistics Management, Purchasing/Supplies Management, supply chain management or related field.
3-5 years of relevant work experience in INGO environment, involving in the procurement of both emergency and development programs out of which 1 year at supervisory level
Advanced excel knowledge and different accounting software’s.
Experience of International NGO or demonstrated equivalent combination
Excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skill
In-depth knowledge of project processes, procedures, and system
Qualifications/Experience Desirable:
Experience in UN Or NGO environment involving in the procurement activities
Experience in emergency procurement is advantageous
Supervisory experience
ERP experience
Pharmacy background
Languages Required
Fluency in English language is essential
Knowledge of local languages is a desirable

Position 3: MERL Coordinator -Afar
Qualifications/ experience essential:
· Bachelor Degree in fields such as Social science, Economics, Statistics or related fields.
· at least 5+ years of relevant experience out of which 3 year 3 years on a senior level experience.
· Practical knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including development of log frames, result chains, theories of change, assessment/evaluations and sound analytical and problem-solving capability; ability to influence others’ behaviour through effective relationship building; thorough current knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, frameworks, etc.
· Experience in digital data gathering and analysis package is a plus.
Qualifications/ experience desirable:
· MERL experience in coordination qualitative and quantitative tools
· Experience in humanitarian contexts is preferable
· Experience using and problem solving with digital data collection tools
Knowledge
· In-depth knowledge of project cycle management.
· Knowledge of effective participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Research systems
· In depth understanding of knowledge management principles, tools and processes.
· Proven knowledge of evidence-based learning including MERL data analysis and information sharing for learned decision making and project adjustment.
· Knowledge of current international development trends and thinking on programme effectiveness, learning and in Child Rights programming.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines
- Establishes strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures.
- An understanding of and commitment to the aims and values of Plan.
Languages required
- Fluency in English language is essential.
- In addition to Amharic, Knowledge of Local Languages is a desirable.

Position 4: Communications Specialist
Qualifications/ experience essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Development Communication, Behavioural Communication or Social Sciences.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in communication work, preferably related to children, human rights, workers’ welfare
- With strong experience in designing communication materials and campaigns on social issues such as child rights, human rights, workers’ rights, gender-based violence or child exploitation and abuse.
- Has excellent command of verbal and written communications in English
- Good media relations and knowledge of social media
- Demonstrate good judgment, leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Excellent computer skills in a full range of software, including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Skype (Skills in any application within the Adobe Creative Suite Package is preferable)
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the proven ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel as required
Qualifications/ experience desirable:
- Expertise in and sensitivity to the socio-cultural barriers facing intended beneficiaries for this program.
- Previous work experience with USAID, preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
- Fluent in English and Amharic with strong verbal and written communication skills
