Plan International Ethiopia would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.

Position 1: Risk, Audit and Compliance Manager (Readveted)

Role Purpose:

Plan International began operating in Somalia in 2020 and started programmes that focus on child protection, education and youth economic empowerment programming both humanitarian and development setting, working with/through partners and providing technical support to INGOs, Somaliland NGOs and the Government of Somaliland in Plan’s areas of expertise. We are currently implementing programmes in Waqooyi Galbeedi, Sool, Sanaag, Togdheer, Bakool and Bay regions and Geographical scope of role 50% Plan International Ethiopia and 50% Plan International Somalia.

The position holder will be responsible to support Head of Risk, Audit and Compliance for the implementation of the department’s strategic plan by providing assurance of risk management and monitored controls in delivering country operations through developing and ensuring effective and efficient systems, internal controls, policies and procedures are in place and at all times implemented correctly.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Languages required:

Fluency in English and Somalia language is essential

Qualifications/ experience essential:

Graduate in relevant degree in Accounting and/or Finance, Audit or Compliance Management or other relevant areas and at least 7(seven) years of work experience out of which 3(three) years on auditing experience preferably from NGO sector. 

Qualifications/ experience desirable:

Knowledge of risk management frameworks and processes; and Internal Control System. Professional qualification CPA, ACCA, CIA

Skills Specific to the Post:

  • Ability to communicate effectively on area of expertise.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships within the team and across the CO.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
  • Ability to investigate fraud cases;

Position 2: CP and EiE Officer

The Opportunity:

The position holder will be responsible for project implementation and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of Plan’s emergency response within his/her designated geographical area mainly related to EHF funded project that will be implemented in Dembe Woreda, Benishangul Gumuz region including project implementation, day-to-day monitoring and reporting.

Technical expertise, skills and knowledge

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • B.A. degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social work, Education, Community Development, Law and social science, or other related fields is required with a minimum of 3-5 years of related working experience.
  • 3-5 years of managing education and child protection in emergency program in the refugee/IDP context.

Qualifications/ experience desirable:

  • Equipped with sufficient level of awareness on child protection and education sectors.
  • Knowledge of Plan policies and procedures, Sphere and the Red Cross/ NGO Code of Conduct
  • Knowledge of child rights programming
  • Good knowledge of field level realities of humanitarian NGOs work;
  • Experience of working in BG 
  • Good understanding of the external operating environment including government policies, strategies, guidelines and operating procedures in managing emergencies and disasters in the country Perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
  • Ability to work independently

Knowledge and Skill:

  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management and asset management
  • Communication Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office software suite
  • Multi-tasks handling skills
  • Ability to be proactive and provide attention to detail

Languages required

  • Fluency in English language is essential
  • Knowledge of local languages is a desirable
  • Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
  • Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.

Position 3: Logistics Assistant – Warehouse and Asset

The Opportunity:

The position holder will be responsible to maintain a consistent and up-to-date supply administration at the Program Office, including stocks and fixed assets inventory. He/she records and tracks purchase requisitions and stock requests, their status and closure.

Technical expertise, skills and knowledge

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree level in fields such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, Economics and any other related field

At least two years of experience in storekeeping, warehousing, stock control or related work.

Qualifications/ experience desirable:

  • Experience in the supply management of both emergency and development programs
  • Experience in Stock management of Construction materials

Knowledge and Skill:

  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management and asset management
  • Communication Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office software suite
  • Multi-tasks handling skills
  • Ability to be proactive and provide attention to detail

Languages required:
