The organization has also been re-registered and accorded legal personality with registry number 2330 on May 22, 2019 as Local Organization in accordance with the civil society Organization proclamation No. 1113/2019.
Positive Action for Development (PAD) would like to invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Position 1: Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Officer
Duties and responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Provide overall Monitoring Evaluation, Research and Learning direction to all the program team in ensuring the achievement of PAD’s mission and strategic objectives
- Managing organizational Monitoring Evaluation, Research and Learning activity
- Advise and provide expertise to Executive Director in assessing opportunities in order to improve organizational sustainability.
- Will reviewing each month’s performance of the branch offices, Program Directing unit and respective managers from a budgetary/activity control aspect
- Make sure all governmental and donor report is developed as per the required quality and within time and ensure timely delivery
- Developing strong business and management capacity amongst program management unity in branch and head offices
- Undertake motivating, coaching, training and continuously setting and reviewing performance targets for the Program Team
- Establishing additional training needs and arranging with the Program implementation teams for these to be undertaken
- Develop tool and conducting annual performance appraisals for the program team and ensuring all line managers do so for their teams
- Ensuring the implementation of all programs/projects in collaboration with program head as per the quality requirement of the donor and organizational standards
- Monitor program/project accomplishment and other activities as per program/project plans and ensure corrective action as needed
- Ensuring regular support and supervision of the branch program offices
- Ensuring program compliance and accountability and timely, accurate reporting in line with PAD requirements and donor projects.

Job Requirements
Qualification:
BA/BSc or Masters degree and above in MIS, Demography, Statistics, and any other related fields
Work Experience:
Six (6) years and above work experience in M&E, MERL, data and information management
Skills Required Attitudes and Attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skill
- Team work
- Excellent conceptual, analysis & presentation skills
- Good report writing skill
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Non-government organizations working experience is advantageous
Workplace: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Reintegration Officer
Duties and responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Planning, developing and implementing a reintegration component and appropriate community mobilization approach in the selected areas of the respective province in professional and timely manner.
- Ensuring that the project reintegration component is implemented in accordance with national, organizational and donor regulations, standards and policies and those commitments to the donor, communities and other programme partners are fulfilled in a professional and timely manners.
- Coordinating and communicating with other team members and keep liaison with provincial stakeholders, communities representatives, religious leaders and representatives of variety of provincial governmental departments and other institutions
- Supports the development and maintenance of appropriate mechanisms and systems for tracking, monitoring and evaluation of key project activities; manages data collection and follow-up; identifies issues and prepares conclusions.
- In consultation with relevant parties, participates in or leads field missions; drafts mission reports and prepares briefings for senior Managers.
- Supports the Office strategic planning process including contribution to the development of the Section’s workplan, ensuring coherence with the Mission’s overall strategic direction and planning tools.
- Supports efforts in resource mobilization and development of strategic partnerships with multiple donors and agencies.
- Prepares various written outputs, e.g. draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, inputs to publications, daily/weekly/monthly reports, with focus on security related initiatives, including DDR.
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings (e.g. conferences, workshops) to include proposing agenda topics, preparation of documents and presentations.
- Performs other related duties as required

- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Non-government organizations working experience is advantageous
- Experience working in a complex environment.
- Managerial experience and experience in representing in meetings and negotiations with governmental offices and development agencies.
- Excellent coordination skills, including working in an interagency context.
- Previous experience in managing solutions related activities, including working in an IDP setting
